As 4chan has grown in popularity boards move so fast that clever trolls just fall off the bottom of the forum before they can come to fruition. Another factor is the average quality of poster has, somehow, managed to fall so many of these clever trolls don't even work in the first place meaning the reaction isn't sufficient. This climate has forced these trolls into extinction. All that's survived is brain-dead image macros, misinterpreting posts in green text, and threads whose supposed troll is that they are obviously trolls. These have prospered mainly through simplicity and attrition.

Unfortunately as /jp/ doesn't actually move that fast it takes a handful of these idiots to clog up the front-page with rubbish as we can all see right now. And, of course, if you don't like the abundance of shitty, ill-fought out, and repetitive 'trolls' - that means you must have got trolled! I'm so trolled right now. You might even say meta-trolled if you didn't know what 'meta-' means.
