We've settled the "Yukari vs Yuka" debate before. Yukari is the ultimate youkai because she can just gap ANYTHING out of existance. Yuka has to actually fight and possibly lose.

I don't like Alice X Yuka. I do like Yuka X Wriggle especially the way Chado portrays their relationship: Wriggle is weak but has the the tenacity to raid SDM even though anyone person there can squash her, Yuka sees that and respects that enough to note her name. That scene pisses off Remilia who Yuka completely ignored despite what happened in Yuka VS Ran series. Also in Byakuren VS Yuka there's a page where she advocates for people like wriggle, who are weak but have strong will. So yeah I hate Alice X Yuka, sounds like a pairing made on the spot. I think PC-98 Yuka and PC-98 Alice would be better IMHO.

If Yuka is so strong how come she lost to Reimu? Can't use the spellcard/duel excuse because they didn't exist. Can't use the Hakurei Maiden excuse because in Lotus Land Story Yuka's actions practically destroyed the Hakurei Shrine. Also, Yuka said she wanted to "grind Reimu into atoms." Why did Yuka flee for her life in her battle against Reimu?

Youkai are long lived, not the same as fairy immortality or Hourai immortality or even lunarian immortality.

Fairy immortality is one where they can't be permanently killed because of their association with a natural phenomenon. So to kill a fairy of the woods permanently you're going to have to kill that fairy and the woods. To kill Yuka you have to kill all flowers in gensokyo that another Yuuka-like thing may manifest. If anyone here has read the Sandman by Neil Gaimen you'd understand that its the same kind of "death" the endless or any beings connected to an abstract concept have..

Good to know fact:
She knows the spell that destroyed Makai, that means she doesnt wield the ULTIMATE magic like Shinki but is a top tier magic user.
Some tiers higher than Marisa.
This can be concluded from Marisa mentioning that the Master Spark may be easy and fun to use but is ineffective. Therefore it had be easy to lern and therefore Mastersparking is just peanuts for Yuka.

I don't see why any one character has to be omnipotent. Makes for poor storytelling.

I find the "Who is stronger?" part of powerlevel threads far less interesting than "How would they fight?". And it's especially bad in Touhou, with all the vaguely defined powers in it.

In the end, I think both of these characters are awesome. And that's all that matters.

I guess this image doesn't apply to Yuka, a youkai that got defeated by Reimu before the spellcard rules were enacted. Even though Reimu's victory over Yukari in the extra mode was not canon (considering the plot that followed PCB) Yukari is the only youkai that wouldn't want to defeat Reimu. Yukari had a hand in the creation of Gensokyo and went out of her way migrating youkai to Gensokyo. According to Rinnosuke, Yukari is using her powers to break down the boundaries between people in order to make people get along in Gensokyo. ZUN has yet to reveal what Yukari's true motives are. Rinnosuke also speculated it might be possible she's trying to seal up the "shrine maidens." Ex-Yukari will be the final boss of the final Touhou game. You heard it here first.

But getting back to lol powerlevels. The moonbitches are clearly the strongest. She didn't just beat Reimu and Marisa, she beat them with approximately 0.02% of her full potential. I doubt even Yukari could defeat the moonbitches. Though according to PiSS "when Ran is fighting with Yukari they are an unbeatable pair."
