Last time this happened to me it was because of the external wire that rubbed too much and eventually nothing would work and I could not repair it. Still, I changed the PCB for a PS1 controller's and it works just fine now.

Holy shit, good games AoA. It's been one hour I was telling to myself that I had to stop, but I was just laughing so hard that I had to keep going. I'm sorry that I wasn't picking random, I'm still complete trash with almost all the characters. Your style is definitely my weakness, you hit a lot using reaction (for example: block -> see bullet -> 66C to punish), whereas I just play with my intuition (I do most of my attacks randomly, not taking into account what you're doing). Also, I'm really bad at the "rock paper scissor" thing.

If you learned some blockstrings, you would become so much better than me that it wouldn't even be fun to play anymore. So please don't learn any blockstrings, you're already strong enough like that.
Well, I don't know what else to say, except I'm really tired and I'm going to sleep. Oh, yeah, I'm glad the stick worked almost perfectly. See you around, hopefully with some new characters next time.

>Not for too long, though
Five Hours! Good Games.
Fighting Suika isn't fun. You jump around too much and I can only win if I do the same. Also, you somehow always escape my attacks in the middle of a dial-A or other very tight attacks + you are nearly never on the ground when I hit you, so you fall down immediately without much chance to follow up, or airtech and counterattack before my recovery after attack is even finished. Of course, it would've been quite easy if I could map 623BC to a single key.
Aya, too. Tengu Drum is bullshit, most of the time, you don't jump on my head, but on my feet (if at all), hit me anyway and avoid my attack you just jumped into as well. Also cross ups, stupid hitboxes, and the damn weather, which always switches too Heavy Fog when you need it.
Typhoon: Stay the hell away from me.
Suwako: Didn't expect to win with her. Why did Tasofro make her moves so impossibly hard to input?`The geyser from underground works like 1/10 times I input it. Has to be something about 100% correct timing.

You should have moved at the character select screen, I would have played more with Reimu. I'm trying to learn how to play with her, but I still have a lot of trouble linking her attacks. And I doo too much 3A without wanting to do it, because of Sanae and Suika.

>Suwako: Didn't expect to win with her
I never do well against Suwako. The gas clouds are too dense and won't go away even if you throw dozens of bullets at them. And you use them a lot, so it kept eating a lot of these. And, well, Suwako is really hard to catch. She's always somewhere I won't expect her to be.

Good games as always, Mungay. It's been some time since we last played. Now my wrists hurt. I was also having trouble focusing on the game at hand... what the hell am I doing still awake at 6 AM anyway...?

I have to say, you underestimate Youmu's speed sometimes. For example, most of the times you used Spirit Sign "Abundant Floating Spirits", I could just graze through the wisps and hit you with anything I wanted. Some other times I could just reflect all the wisps to your own face. They would probably work against most other characters but against Youmu they're pretty ineffective.

my strings were far from inescapable. laughably far, i don't even play those characters much. just try to predict when a projectile is coming (harder against better players, but i made it very easy for you to do) and high jump out or graze and punish. also, i notice you like to stay in the corner a lot, so you'd do well with more counters and bombs to get people off you.

ggs though.

Sorry, that was a pretty funny picture you put up so I had to take the bait (dohoho). Good games as usual Guy, you don't need to sell yourself short. It makes people feel worse than "downright laughable", which instead of making you seem humble comes across as an insult. Stellar play as usual from you, thanks for the games. I have to start learning something for my Meirin pressure.

border escaping is pretty easy. just hold a direction and hit dash twice during a right block on melee or any projectile block.

directions are 1 for 7, 2 for 8, 3 for 9 (look at numpad for reference), with 4 and 6 acting as normal.

>> No.5021528

>>5021454
Oh come on, you saw how many strings I dropped; I can't have been the only one laughing.

As for Meiling pressure, you have the gist of it: mostly stagger high-low melee with a few bullets thrown in; try to do stuff like 214B once in a while to discourage grazing, and be careful of using Scarlet Cannon too much as it is punishable. It's good for predicting jumps and BEs in the corner, though, so if you get them down to 1 orb you might consider doing scarlet cannon to predict a BE or jump and then canceling it into Youhou level 1 if they rightblock it and go to punish.

Also, j.2A doesn't have to be used for cross-up games. j.2A j.5C j.66 j.2A land 2AA is a decent pressure tool to push a person the corner as well, as most of the time they will stay block the j.5C after the j.2A instead of grazing.

Perhaps I'm looking at things the wrong way. One of the remarkable differences was how your midscreen strings tended to push me into the corner where it was extremely difficult to escape. On the other hand, my midscreen strings were escaped like 90% of the time and went back to a neutral position. Not to mention I didn't do any better in the corner since forward dash or normal jump up seemed to get out of everything. In other words, even if I could do the exact same strings as you, you're still better at escaping them. Ah well. There's no secret move/blockstring in order to be good.

Mmm, at the length of prolonging this conversation and boring just about everyone else in this thread, I'll go on: your pressure gets very predictable. For example, with Meiling the moment you 2A, you have a tendency to switch to high right after I rightblock a 2A. So all I have to do rightblock a 2A, rightblock the inevitable 6A, and I'm able to escape your pressure by doing hj7, hj8, j7/j8 chicken block, or even just 66, since you almost always 5C after you 6A. Throw in something like a 214B once in a while and it'll make me start questioning some of those options.

Your real goal when you make me block a 2A midscreen is to make want to back to the corner, where Meiling can actually start doing halfway respectable damage. So start throwing out different stuff out at different times to keep me on my toes and actually make me think about what the safest option is, otherwise it's really easy to get out for free. Say you make me wrongblock 2AA; instead of doing a third or switching to a 6A, throw out, say, 6B hjc7 j.2B 66 j.2A j.5C 66 j.5A 5AA 66 2AAA [...]. There are so many different variations of what she can do that ideally the moment your opponent rightblocks 2A he's going to want to BE7 before he gets pushed all the way in the corner.

I'm sorry if anyone actually goes through the trouble of reading this.

Actually, you overthought it. I virtually always go from 2A to 6A regardless of right or wrongblock because people kept doing strange BS like jumping out (6A will stop it) or dash attacks the moment I stopped 2A'ing. It's a level 0 tactic that obviously shouldn't be used against someone operating at a higher yomi level.

Oh well. I'll think about it, but it's pretty hard to psyche you out with mixups and loose pressure in all honesty. I'm not convinced that predictability really matters against you.

GGs, www. I jumped on /jp/ for some quick games to play before going out to eat but you're better than most of the people I've been playing in the past couple days so I decided to stay a bit longer.

Yeah I noticed you were playing awfully scrubby against said clock, I was wondering, It's really stupid how people will actually tech like you were and lose 7k to it, as for rocket dives, they were hilarious. Iloved your sun finish against my iku 22c'ing, was moe.

I was BEing it to punish clock, but I didn't realize some characters had such terrible downwards momentum from BEs. Yukari and Patchy have no problem getting down, and a low orb Iku is easy pickings. But besides that move you never "practice" BEing down, so I didn't know that the other characters suck so bad at it. Reimu especially would not come down from it.
I was more shocked personally at the Suika j.6a on rocket drive trading. Suika had already recoiled back. I wouldn't be surprised if dive moves so fast it smears hitboxes across frames.
