>Some may have noticed a comics tab appeared on our website when we updated for the addition of an All-ages site, and we might finally have a few products appearing under that heading in the near future. As for teasers about the games that are in the works: how about some files to help you try and guess the titles?

Looks like they have hints up for 4 future titles.

The first should be trivial to place to a game, one just needs to match it to it's source.

With the second, it will likely either be a concept (anyone know a game with a tunnel) or a location (like the city Air is located in).

You shouldn't expect an Alicesoft to be officially localized in the US, much less Britain or the 3rd world shithole, Australia.

Why? Because in many games, many characters are not 18 years old, nor do they have consensual sex.

Still need confirmation on the Circus with gameplay track as well

For searching BGM, one can limit themselves to songs that are similar length as the two given.

Most likely games for a new license are
Circus games with GamePlay (hinted at recently that this will happen)
With Da Capo 2 (2nd hint) and a game with game play (earlier hint), it is unlikely that there would be 3 Circus titles here, so efforts should be limited solely to those with gameplay from Circus

Nexton Companies - Zaishuu -The SiN- was announced, no reason there couldn't be more

Shin Koihime † Musou - They have the original in the works now, so could be this, haven't checked it's soundtrack yet
Harukoi Otome - This should be checked as well, since this was mentioned in a past interview, and it is also Base Son

Outside of these, it is unlikely to be Navel (no recent contact and doesn't sound like shuffle sequel music), it would likely be something new. If it was Key, I'd like to think we would have identified it by now.

That's arguably Kouryuu's job - I'm just a lowly editor. He's certainly aware of them, but (off the record), it's a tough question of how to deal with it. You can never defeat piracy in full, and the cost of an international lawsuit is something that only the megacorps can really afford to push through.

That and, come on, we're not stupid. Suing your customers or intentionally causing them grief is bad press, bad business, and bad customer relations.

In an ideal world, of course, people would believe that we're putting out a product worth paying for, and really, all we can do is release something we're proud of and hope that it has a value to the fans that justifies parting with their hard-earned cash. We could have dumped out Koihime Musou by now, but having done edits on parts of it, I can say that neither Kouryuu nor I would actually have felt justified asking people to pay for it in the state it was in before we got our hands on it. I know that Kouryuu's pulling insane hours on getting it up to scratch, hopefully everyone'll appreciate it on release.

Well, seeing that they have access to most Circus stuff (outside of when they can't afford fees like VA royalities, see DC:IF), there is little reason to skip over Eternal Fantasy. Besides, it would be nice to identify one of the OSTs since there are 2, and yet in 36 hours we have not identify either.

Eternal
ShChara (already checked all their games)

Yeah, but Clannad is, obviously, a very well received anime in the west. Despite the fan translation already being available, it still has the potential to be a big seller based on its name alone if they can get the word out. Shuffle! is their top seller by a long shot, from what I've heard, so I can see why they'd be interested in bringing over another popular property.

Little Busters or AIR might actually be the better idea, really, but that's risky due to lower popularity (little western awareness, if at all, for Little Busters), and ongoing fan translation projects for both of them. I get the feeling MangaGamer doesn't want to step on anyone's toes that are doing fan translations unless it will be a clearly worthwhile endeavor (i.e. JAST with Nitro+).
