Shannon and Kanon are different people! However, Shannon still possesses a Beatrice split personality! In the Fourth Game, Jessica realizes that it's Shannontrice committing these murders, and confronts her! Jessica gets it out of "Beatrice" that Battler's sin was what created her, so she promises Beatrice that she can get Battler to remember! Beatrice agrees to give her a chance, but will kill her if she's unable. She has Jessica dress up as Suit Beatrice and call Battler, and give him his test! First, if he wrote in "Shannon," that proof would be enough! This explains Beato's strange reaction to Battler's proposal of writing Beatrice in! When this fails, she gets to the point and demands that he remember his sin! He doesn't, and Jessica apologizes to Battler! Shannon "lays Jessica to rest" in her bedroom and then kills herself!

Jessica knows "she'll be a corpse with its head split open" because Shannontrice is toting a gun! She knows George died instantly because Shannontrice told her! She posits the witch legend because Shannontrice wanted her to utilize it, because if she simply asked him to apologize to Shannon he would out of nothing but a desire to make her stop killing! Kumasawa and Gohda were hesitant in their explanation because Shannon doesn't seem like a murderer! In other words...Shkanon is unnecessary!

My theory is that the girl who claims to be beatrice (assuming that this girl isn't Jessica), was a friend of Shannon, but hated by Kanon. When Shannon died and Kanon took her place, Beatrice didn't knwo about that. She went to the mansion in episode 2 without problems and bullyed kanon. Later, when "shannon" goes to Beatrice room, it's just kanon, maybe dressed as Shannon. Beatrice discovers that truth, that's why "Shannon" is angry in this part of episode 2 and fights Beatrice, because she's Kanon. Kanon then is somehow included in Beatrice's plan.
