Oh look, it's THIS thread again.

I don't get the attrocity bit. Japanese were pricks in WW2. SURPRISE! So was everyone else, you idiot.

To their credit, at least the Japanese didn't, firebomb Dresden or become the first nation in history to drop nuclear weapons on population centers.

>> No.4833662

for their credit the japanese were brutal fucks who tricked their people into commiting mass suicides and systematically raped and killed tens of thousands of civilians in nanking

>So was everyone else, you idiot.
Uh, no? My country, which was occupied by the huns during WW2, never engaged in any war crimes. Japanese and Germans did tests on live humans, no Allied nation ever did any of that. And please, nuclear bombs a war crime? The amount of casualties doesn't determine the crime idiot. If I just kill one person by torturing him it is a war crime, if I clean kill him with a bullet it's a normal "humane" death.

But please continue to suck that Jap cock.

Not that I give two shits about this subject, but letting thousands of innocents die in a nuclear aftermath is concidered humane now?

>no Allied nation ever did any of that.

None that got out.

World War II was full of evil pricks being evil. It just so happened that the Axis tended to be more evil.

Anyone wanted to do ANYTHING to win. Not to mention it set the stage for everything wrong with everything today.

You keep believing that it was a hero's time, when the legacy of WWII keeps strangling us all more and more.

Old /jp/ just agreed that the Japanese committed horrible war crimes but that since we don't give a shit about the country anyway, only about what it produces, these threads were an eyesore.

New /jp/ thinks these threads are an eyesore because they don't want to be reminded that the Japanese committed these heinous acts.

Time to find a new board, I guess.

According to most estimates, the immediate effects of the blast killed approximately 70,000 people in Hiroshima. Estimates of total deaths by the end of 1945 from burns, radiation and related disease, the effects of which were aggravated by lack of medical resources, range from 90,000 to 140,000. Some estimates state up to 200,000 had died by 1950, due to cancer and other long-term effects. Another study states that from 1950 to 1990, roughly 9% of the cancer and leukemia deaths among bomb survivors was due to radiation from the bombs, the statistical excess being estimated to 89 leukemia and 339 solid cancers.

Sure is humane.

I'm not saying the Germans weren't bastards. The Holocaust, the experimentation, it's all bullshit.

But at the same time, you can't honestly say that the Allies were people with the best intentions in mind. If they really cared about saving your people from the Germans, they wouldn't have planned to carve up Europe, now would they?

The Allies were saving their own skins, and you just happened to be in the way.

The Axis wanted to conquer everything, and you were in the way.

World War II was fucking evil, and not a single good thing came out of it.

To the weeaboo historical revisionists: the civilian victims of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are only collateral damage. The Americans were targeting military complexes and industries working for the war effort. Plus the civilian population was fully informed of what was going to happen. Lots of flyers detailing the imminent bombings and their effect were constantly airdropped in the preceding days, so if they were too stubborn to leave it's only their fault.

On the other hand, what Japs did in China was a systematic terror campaign targeting solely the unarmed population. People were arbitrarily deported to be used as human guinea pigs, entire towns were infected with diseases as a repressive measure. You name one war crime against civilians, the Japs probably committed it with the clear intent of oppressing the occupied territories.

>> No.4834017
