The only way I can rationalize "Amakusa=Beatrice, not a bad guy," is simply that Beatrice is not responsible for all the deaths/ has another motive/ felt that some deaths were necessary or deserved, etc. I really haven't thought it out completely.

Another way to see it is that he simply wanted to be recognized as Jessica, where all the "crazy acts" come from dressing as a girl for so long. Who knows, maybe you're right and it's not related at all.

Yeah, by my reasoning, what happened here was that Jessica failed epicly to get Battler to remember his promise to Shannon or whatever, decided to say fuck it, and then the other Beato came, blew Jessica's head off(having her go to sleep as it were) and then took care of the rest, which meant clearing up loose ends and blowing her freaking brains out in an elaborate suicide that hid the guns.

As for why Battler never found a dress or suit, no Beatrice wore a dress(Shannon was in her maid uniform the whole time), and Jessica herself was wearing the suit that Beatrice wore. Thus, the gun was disposed of via the well trick, and the suit was disposed of via being hidden in plain sight.

Plus he has actual foreshadowing, in that SOMEONE always prevents him from speaking to Battler for any particularly prolonged period of time, he can't lift a 20 pound bag of fertilizer despite being a teenage male, and that he wears clothing that obsures most of his body.

Yes, while this theory is mostly based off of the fact that she's a tomboy, it's because of the repetition of that fact. It would've been simple enough to introduce her as a tomboy, yet the story has to keep reinforcing that image all the time. Not just through her speech, but through Battler's thoughts and Natsuhi's reprimanding.
