Jessica seems to have a habit of getting the ball rolling.
Episode one, she gives the scorpian charm to Natsuhi, and the Beatrice shenanigans get worse and worse from thereon out.
Episode two, in the very beginning in the chapel she immediately accuses Beatrice of the murders and storms out(contrary to her opinions about Beato not being behind it before), once again setting things in motion.
Episode 3, she tampers with the bodies, and also suddenly blames Eva. Note well episode 3 is described as an episode where things went not as planned. Why would Jessica suddenly blame Eva? You could say because she suspected her, but still, look beyond that if you would.
Episode 4 by and large is the worst. The Doubletricefags will tell you what they think about that, but my biggest concern is not the phonecall Jessica makes to Battler, but rather, her setting everything off at the beginning with the various trials.

We don't know it was Krauss on the phone talking to Jessica.
But we do know that Jessica was the one who acted like he was, and that Jessica was the one who made everyone buy into the trials for that episode.

This tendency to start all of the murders leads me to think that she COULD(not is, but COULD) indeed be a valid mastermind.

I don't see why it has to be anything more than that. Jessica was dealing with the loss of Kanon and both her parents. Of course she'll go for Eva, who has no alibi for the murder, along with her obvious hatred of Krauss and Natsuhi.

Actually that was Kyrie. Look at the scene again and Kyrie is the one who tells Battler about the trials and he relays the info to the others.

It's not like the police will be able to look at the bodies after all, tampering with them is useless.

In episode 4, "Kinzo" is the one that set things in motion, and for the phone call stop forgetting KYRIE.

Jessica has pretty much always an alibi, and a strong one at that since she is with Battler.
Nothing in the game portrays her to be a mastermind or having a hidden agenda.
It's stated in the game itself that the fantasy scenes hold the truth in some way and that the pieces can't act out of characters in them.
Jessica is always consistently characterized to be a pretty nice girl, even George is far more suspect if you follow the fantasy scenes.

And there is nothing that link her to Beatrice at all, nor is there any motive for a doubletrice twist.

Personally I think people who believe in this theory deluded themselves so much they forgot half of the story or something.

An author who uses that for a motive normally has no real reason for the character to do what they did. Now that, in my opinion, would make Ryukishi a bad writer.

Until people start trying to separate the Beatrice fakery from the actual murders, they're never going to get anywhere.

Going back to the earlier thing about the fangirls, there are no pair-able guys, as such. Those kind of girls would usually be drawn to Kanon/Battler, but you know what? There's fuck all which supports it, and they hardly interact, considering. The straight and yuri couples are much, much more interesting.

That said, I somewhat ship Krauss/Kanon paste on some anon's butthurt over a fic about the two. They're after bitching about it so much that the pairing are after growing on me. Despite them not interacting much in the canon, either.

Watch Kinzo be the real mastermind, turns out Genji is the real Kinzo and they switched places years ago.

About the Kyrie thing - Yeah, Kyrie did tell Battler about the trials, but Jessica is the one who creates the impression of urgency, authenticity and threat(remember, she says "How could he have done that to mom!") among other things. Kyrie did tell Battler about the trials, but I never said Kyrie wasn't involved also.
Later on, Kyrie and Jessica hit Battler with back to back phone calls. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume they were working together in episode 4.

As for the whole Beato confrontation in episode 4, I won't touch that, but Jessica certaintly did set things in motion in episode 4.

That kinda is working backwards from the fact that Jessica called Battler, not forwards. Really, the culprit would have to assume that Jessica would call Battler and tell him such a thing, which contradicts with the rest of her call(Jessica being already dead, Jessica BLATANTLY describing magic in terms of portals and shit, etc, etc).

Jessica's phone call is not something as simple as her getting duped by George, either she's lying, or she was co-ersed into saying what she did.

The latter is rather unlikely, as it flies against her characterization and is also a bit too contrived.
