I was there both days, the staging was much better than the pics I saw of the earlier shows, granted I had a very good spot in the middle of both pits. It could still be better, and the other thing was that there was a small spot of like, dead pixels or something in the bottom middle, you couldn't really notice until the last song. Hope they can fix it for the rest of the tour. Overall a very fun show, the crowd was great both times and there were some funny (actual) memes that sprouted from the pre show/waiting in line. Also some dude crashed his car and almost hit the GA line before speeding away, but his license plate fell off and people were posing and taking pictures with it.

I couldn't tell you for day 2's stock since I wanted (and got) a decent spot in the pit but day 1 merch was fine. Once they started getting everyone through security there was a VIP merch line which had pretty much everything important still in stock (aka hoodie/shirts/light stick if you didn't order online) and it took maybe 5 minutes of waiting.
The only things that were sold out were stickers and buttons and the acrylic figure, so you'd probably have to show up early for the public merch booth if you wanted those.

San Jose definitely felt very well ran, but there was a merch limit of 1 light stick over customer, and everything else was 5 per. If you really wanna wave two around, try to get one secondhand or something, or just buy a generic and stuff a couple layers of printer paper inside. I know I just said it was well ran but security was kinda lax and didn't really care about outside sticks, just outside food and drinks. I saw some really bright sticks day 1 off to the side of the pit and day 2 someone near me popped UOs when the confetti dropped. None of it reflected off the screen so it's more about courtesy towards the people around you.

For me, lax security is good security. I never know what kind of treatment I'm going to get at a concert. Obviously the security will vary by venue, but it's good to hear they haven't been getting in people's way too much.
Maybe it's for the best I get one stick. I've spent enough money already, and they seem to be short of them at all the venues. I'd look so silly anyway. Like an aircraft martial having his first day on the runway, and forgot all the signals.
I'm happy to be hearing some positive things from people who've attended so far. I'm pretty hyped for this experience.

Well, you know what they say. Money solves all problems. But I would have been gutted if I was trying to roll on my main account (had it still been there). I remember getting relatively lucky with pulling the useful ubers, but I could see myself getting nothing from the banner and being forever upset. I remember I went with my friend to the 2016 shows, and we were both pretty young and just along for the ride, so we stopped at a party store and just grabbed a bunch of glowsticks to bring in. Mirai is nowhere near close as full as Miku Fes was. Gaijin tickets get decent spots with SS and S seats, around somewhere in the middle of the venue and likely a bit to the side if 2023 is anything to go by with S seats.
The energy is great, it doesn't feel too crowded. Been a while since my last Expo but the Expos felt more crowded since it's in a pit whereas Mirai has seats and everyone stays infront of them.

I don't know what producers you are into but this kind of merch exists if the producers are big enough to have it. Due to how japanese handle merch (usually timed releases made to order), expect to have to wait for a release of something you actually like. If the store doesn't support overseas shipping, I can vouch for tenso as a forwarder.

so far the only setlist changes this miku expo were some of miku's songs. it's a little disappointing because there were some songs from the others I really wanted to hear but didn't get the chance to due to 2020 fizzling for NA.
I really hope the next expo doesn't take as long to come around. still, can't imagine how much sleep they lost trying to draft a setlist to appease the expectations of a 6 year wait + it being an anniversary milestone

Fun show guys. I always check out what you guys are up to when there's an event. I think we all could complain a lot. But personally I am so happy that they got Wowaka in Coachella I will forgive everything. Rolling Girl, and especially his post-vocaloid work mean so much to me. I think he was bound for there and so much more. I will always be thankful that they showed so many new people one of his best songs.

It would look alright if they recessed the TV further back on the stage and ensured that the surrounding area was pitch black as you'd expect. The lights should be placed so that Miku's performing area could reasonably pass as darkened, as opposed to lighting up behind the TV and highlighting the discrepancy. Making a torrent is simple enough, you just do Tools -> Torrent creator on qbittorrent. Torrent format: v1 and piece size: Auto.
For sharing a torrent and uploading it to nyaa, you need a nyaa account. Currently signups are closed but me and others here already have an account so if you upload a the created .torrent file to any filehost like catbox we can upload it to nyaa and you can start seeding.

You can just make a torrent with what you have and let the others handle the encoding if they want to.

If you want to lower the filesize anyways handbrake is indeed the simplest and just works well.
If you have an nvidia gpu (rtx/gtx 1000 series or above) under the video tab you can use the H.265 10-bit (NVEnc) encoder which should encode the video quite fast with good quality. Set CQ to around 20-21. Although I'm not sure how much space you would save with this.
If you have an rtx 4000 series gpu then you have hardware AV1 encoding which means you will have to use ffmpeg or another tools which I can also help with.
There is also CPU encoding but without a recent-ish cpu it might take 10-20 hours.

The Sega model is indeed the superior concert Miku, her expressions carry far more emotion.

I did a little testing and looking around about encoding.
First of all I said 10-bit but these BDRips are 8-bit so encoding with a 10-bit encoder is incorrect.
Other than that if you are converting BDRips like these you 100% have to use a deinterlace filter under filters tab. For example bwdif.
Also adding a denoiser lowers the final filesize by a lot but this makes encoding take 3x longer as they are heavy and you can't use gpu encoding on this stuff. NLMeans light or ultralight for example. I haven't checked the tune setting.
Also h265 (HEVC) seems to be quite good for high motion content like these. Probably on par with AV1 but more mature.

As a result it is probably possible to reduce the filesize by ~60-65% without losing important details (I am a zoom in 300% to see if I lost any details guy).
