Come on now, Anon. I like Byakuren and Kanako both as much as the next guy, but neither of them are much better. Byakuren will happily overlook her 'disciples' continue to outright murder humans as we know Murasa does, and kowtows to the status quo of Gensokyo as a human farm. Miko at worst only is inactive because even if she were to liberate the Human Village successfully, it wouldn't matter if they fell back into the same habits that allowed them to be domesticated in the first place.

That said, Byakuren at least has the argument in her favor of being more than a little clingy, as indicated by her dream self, so if you can get that far with her you're probably good. Kanako herself as well has learned to pull out of a bad plan before it causes too much trouble, and while she's self-serving, that's true of most women, and she's still leagues above the average youkai or that frog nearby.
