As a swamp native, March is the slow ramp up towards hell temps. It'll probably be 70~80, with balls humidity. Pretty cool weather. The parking around the ship fills up fast so get there early, and I'd advise not staying in Baton Rouge itself after the Great Ape migration that Katrina caused. Look at staying somewhere in Walker near I12 or Addis across the 'sippi. I'd also not advise not going too deep into Baton Rouge past the interstates, if you're alone. Might also want to consider a day trip to the WWII museum in New Orleans following sorta the same rules.
