I played Elona + in Japanese for a while just to try it out. The conversations where much more coherent and a lot of items had more flavor text. But I had a very hard time discerning between potions and buff/debuff-effects.

Also, I've been wondering: Why doesn't anyway talk about jpdb here? I really like how you can learn the specific kanji of a specific work. it is difficult because a native reading guess without already knowing the word would result in the wrong reading almost 100% of the time, hence why so many natives read it wrong.
obviously it is not difficult to memorize a reading once you already know it. there are no such words like that.
