You can try to diffuse the oil out with soap and hot water then reapply scented mineral oil. This technique can harm the durability of your toy if done frequently in a short window. I have done this a lot and for the most part everything has been fine. A little rust on the neck bolt isn't really a big deal even years later. Tearing is a concern and mineral oil usually helps to prevent this. If you are infusing the toy with a lot then it will soften which can cause a problem. I would give two good hot soapy soaks at the most in a month. And keep the toy very well powdered during this process. Then 30 days later I would start once a month until the smell is gone.

Use lavender mineral oil and scented powder.
