Personally im not too into abuse, especially considering its almost all Reimu and Marisa, which while I understand since those two spawned the memes, the abuse stuff is so far removed from the original characters and touhou entirely that I and many do not find a reason to bother with it (prob the reason many moved into fumos, nobody portrays them as being shit-talking pests).

I recently started delving into this stuff and got the same impression. These things might as well remove the Touhou trappings and become its own thing, seeing as they seem to be contained to their own setting away from anything Touhou related anyways. That being said, I am still interested enough in it to continue looking through it regardless.

They are drawn with teeth sometimes and I can't help but wonder. What are their teeth made out of? Surely it's not actual teeth, seeing as they are sentient baked goods. I have the same question about their eyes but I am probably just overthinking the anatomies of these things.

I have never been particularly into yukkuri but I have spent this past week or so going through as much yukkuri abuse as possible. I know this can't be good for my mental health for a variety of reasons but I can't bring myself to stop. The images bring me a strange sense of peace along with a tinge of sorrow over the fact that I will never be able to partake in such activities in reality.

It seems like something more than just cute aggression.

From all the stuff I've seen, there are three types of "bodied yus"
The first is the simple one, like >>43218101, they gain their character's clothes and a body while maintaining their oversized head and their very easy nature
The second is where yukkuri's bodies or limbs are awfully small, almost always seen in abuse stuff
And the third I like to call it the "surreal" one, where they end up becoming (almost) human or a copy of the original character

The yukkuriverse seems like an uneasy place to live from an auditory perspective. Imagine hearing all kinds of screaming at all hours of the day. Whether it's the yukkuri screaming in joy over personal matters or screaming in agony because someone is tormenting them, there is always something loud going on with them.

Like imagine minding your business at your computer when suddenly, you hear screaming in the other room because an invasive yukkuri managed to find a piece of candy you dropped on the floor and was so happy about it. Or you're out enjoying a peaceful walk through the woods when suddenly you are jolted out of it by screaming coming from the bushes somewhere because a wild yukkuri returned from its hunt to find that its baby got eaten by an animal. Walking to the corner store to pick up some milk and you hear screaming coming from a yard somewhere because someone is torturing some stray yukkuri they caught and it's not even the only yard that has screaming coming from it. This screaming is just a fact of life in that universe just like the sound of dog barks are in this one but it's no less startling to hear a sudden loud one.

I'd equate them more to rats, in that they are generally an invasive species but some people also keep them as pets. I get it though. I'd be unspeakably annoyed if I heard bouncing around and screeching coming from inside the walls. The clawing and gnawing rats do is annoying enough to keep me up at night. This would make me want to catch them and impale them in my yard as a warning to other prospective invaders.

I feel like a lot of yukkuri abuse material is way too quick to go straight for the kill and have it end with all of them dead. I find the stories where one or two are left alive to process the ordeal to be much more satisfying. Then again, they are supposed to be quick to forget so I suppose any trauma inflicted would be quickly forgotten about anyways.
