Anyone has tips on getting stronger in megaten? I admit I have never played a shin megami tensei before, but I'm struggling to understand the system with demons. You need to talk them in dungeons, but dungeon visits are limited in time, meaning you have to waste days just to grind a good collection. Then you have to discard said collection in fusions to get even more demons to collect. Not mentioning the fact that they come with default weaknesses that makes it easier for the enemy to spam opportunity attacks. Meanwhile there are humans, the game gives you plenty of them at start and with event/requests. No natural weaknesses and they can be further reinforced with equipment. Not mentioning the special classes like persona users that just makes them even more flexible. It seems like the choice is obvious, so is there something I am missing about being a devil summoner?

For comp memory, my recommendation is get the Devil Chamber app asap. It takes up 2 slots and removes the memory usage Demons have, but forces you to only have 6 on your comp at most which might initially sound pretty bad but trust me unless you suck hard 6 is more than enough. You can even combine it with DDM so this limit doesnt effect recruiting demons, because that sends demons you cant carry on you to the home server. You can buy it in the macca exchange, though I dont remember how much it is I just know it's on the cheaper side. Dont worry about health items either, aside from Beads and status healers health items will very quickly stop being useful, just keep that starter pixie on hand and dump all her stats into Int and Mag, even if you stop using her in battle you can keep her in your comp as a Dia battery, which is what I did with mine a long time ago.

Dungeon visits aren't timed and you can easily get to a point where you can functionally spend forever in one. Getting the comp app that lets you send demons home also helps with stocking up too. As far as humans vs demons go, humans have naturally lower stat modifiers across the board(which can be mitigated with the harmonizer app at the cost of a large chunk of your app points) while demons have higher mods out of the box. But yes, many humans at this point just have more interesting kits without having to worry about fusing good skills on to demons. As far as resistances go though, some demons can potentially get ones that far outstrip what humans can get with gear. However that usually takes breeding rather than fusion. For example if you breed something like a murasaki kagami with it's excellent magic resists with a demon with physical resists you can potentially end up with a demon child who is immune to everything but 3 elements, stuff that pierces resistances, and almighty.

Eventually you get a trait on the MC that lets you explore 2 dungeons in one day, and dont worry too much about the quest time limit unless you plan on actively participating in the Trading part of Slave Trading. tl;dr most quest endings get locked out after Day 50, but it shouldnt be that hard to do and even if you miss it I believe you can still NG+ after that anyway.

None of her skills are particularly special but for an early game demon null all phys is pretty nice. Can also have one join for free with a few bonus skills in the seven sisters school dungeon if you give her intel glasses(obtained from talking with a student on floor 2 after the p2 crew temporarily joins you) and then talk with her after beating the boss before you leave. Also she is cute.

Caster from fate/extra. Joins from doing the fate event while neutral. Learns a bunch of good spells and most notably her aphotic cave, which provides you with a shield that nulls one hit of every element. Load her up on agility and magic and you have a demon that can hit decently hard or keep the team alive quite well.
>Angel, Chefei, Veil, Cool
Demons that can join early and have evolutions that extend their usefulness. Angel is in a bunch of early dungeons. Chefei you can either start with if you pick the right choices or buy for a bit of macca in roppongi red light. Veil or Cool join along with Mirai or Setsuna after Harajuku.

Similar to the above but you have to fuse him a bit later.

Joins after the dungeon opened by the burning flower event while on the Lily route started in Shinjuku(amane's route) if you are L/L upon clearing. Learns the blood wine spell that lets her transfer MP to the rest of the party. Give her invigorate and a drain spell and you have SMT3 daisoujou basically. Can also get a blood wine skill card as her conception item if you want to do this with some other character.
