So. I have money and I fucking WANT to read F/HA in english as soon as possible. How I can speed up translating process? Donate to some good translator maybe? Links and good ideas are needed.

>F/HA
>good translator

Heh.

Throw money at the problem. That usually works.

Why would you pay for a fandisc?

The nips do it all the time. For more than 5000 Yen, usually.

Because I'm a type-moon fan with a nice salary and without a girl to spend money to. So I want to make a present for all of you waiting for it, and for me. I'm serious.

That doesn't really justify it. I'd understand it if it was something like the Akatsuki no Goei fandisc which supposedly fixes the shitty ending of the game, but I don't get why would you get so desperate for some bad slice of life game.

Then save your money till the Aoko game is released to be sure a team of translators starts working on it as soon as it's released.

I'm not trying to justify it. I'm not even OP. I'm just sayin'...

On a side note, fan discs piss me off most of the time. Especially if the contents should have been in the original game.

Thank you for the intention, but the only way you can do so is to hire one or two translators to translate the whole fandisk from scratch. And those fuckers charge for the word.I.E: Unless you get some really cheap translators, you'll end up spending 4 digits.

If you STILL want to try it out, find the script and hire them. I'm just saying that it won't be cheap.

First, in case you aren't aware...

http://tsukuru.info/tlwiki/index.php?title=Fate/Hollow_Ataraxia

Second, doubt you'll be able to afford a professional translator for this amount of text, but...

You could try something like what FOSS projects do - set up small bounties for specific scenes. That way, people won't get too upset if they don't get the money due to poor quality.

Just remember that good/fast translators typically still need good editors...

Also, the problem with any scheme is that you still need somebody reasonably impartial to judge accuracy.

For some reason, a lot of fansubbers/amateur translators just love making up crap that sounds okay, but has virtually no relation to the original...
