I read a lengthy Chinese article (from a Taiwan newspaper) that pointed out some of the most extreme (and often humorous) examples where the Japanese meaning of kanji phrases were widely different from the Chinese meaning. Unfortunately I lost that article.

tl;dr No, not really, but you can guess the meaning correctly most of the time.
