Swimsuit Koishi has surprisingly low damage for being an EFES attack type. The LW of White Koishi has around twice the damage and Blue Reimu also outdamages her by quite a bit.

Having such varied elements really hurts her breaking ability, since you'll only be able to get a couple breaks in most stages, as opposed to being able to instantly fullbreak enemies with the right element. Anomaly breaks are also a lot more effective without the soup.

There's also the whole thing with debuffs easily accessible on cards and a large amount of characters already have debuffs built-in their last words and other parts of their attacks and skills. Blue hecc also has the killer issue so her damage is lackluster on anything not swimsuit, but considering the current stages, she will always be a good option as long as they keep printing swimsuits that use heavy bullets somewhere so that in their shill stage, she isn't guarded on the last gauge.

Feels like there might legit not be a set-up for the Blue Heca card with less than 3 characters. Even with a lvl 100 Beach Koishi people have not found anything. Best so far seems to be Beachkari, Beachrisa and MV Satori since they can all be at 1 star for it. Glad that the card isn't one of those super good damage boosting cards that go up to 90% for some characters.

The curious thing about LW is that, no matter how weak or strong someone is on paper, it is heavily gated by stage design.
So for example, Koishi blanco's damage is bound to have a high lower cap due self buffs, goes even higher due anomaly interactions and debuffs, and then she has Genso slayer on the first line. Hecatia (Terrestre cuerpo) on the other hand has no damage buffs other than self anomalies and her slayers suck ass not because they're niche but due being all over the place.
Koishi has the advantage so far. Yet, in current stage the enemies cripple laser bullets so Koishi's damage is down by at least 90% in the last hp bar, whereas Hecatia's first line has active slayers, and there's room to buff Hecatia's damage even more, so she can actually nuke now. Not only that but overall spellcard damage is also trashed due absurd defense numbers, even on FB, yet Hecatia is able to nuke with her falling watermelon while Koishi can't.
So again, the unit can look bad or obsolete, until you try her live. Koishi is supposed to do several things at once but it doesn't matter because her LW will do chip damage here unless you compromise with her debuffs. Hecatia is supposed to do two things: break or debuff, now she can also do damage.

Gonna be interesting to see what they will do with the SFES reincarnations. I feel like Red Marisa could easily become very good again if she just gets some buffs in a few areas. MV Youmu looks kinda bland in her preview. Having a cut-in for the LW is always nice but it just doesn't look all that special. Someone like Tenshi can have a big spectacle LW but most of the MV characters are just kinda there with their LWs.

lvl 70 Koishi can farm Red Marisa in 1 turn so you can just keep her at lvl 70. Beach Reimu can farm quite a few of the other stages. She can even farm that annoying stage that drops the Fairy Manga card at 8p. I don't think there is much reason to level up Sakuya or Cyber Reimu. Might as well wait until you get better SFES characters, like Zhuge Liang Tewi.

The need for WoSD copies has gone down dramatically anyway.
There are alternatives with different stat spreads, like Puddle.
Efes/MV units always have access to 3P on turn 1.
A lot of good characters just have a bunch of SP refund just injected into their cards now.
And most importantly replays now remember cards used, so I'd guess you only really need 5 MLB copies at most instead of 20

You can still apply debuffs on someone who's been fully broken.
They even persist if you don't break the healthbar.
If you break with the same attack as is applying the debuffs you probably won't see them since debuffs happen before bullets unless they're on the bullets themselves.
And iirc any Yin Energy LW gets full benefits unless some buffs/debuffs are already being stacked.

She wasn't relevant for the Beach Reimu EX, but on the final bar you have SC lock for 2 turns and a switch lock for 1 turn.
So with Otohime/Butler you'd need to wait 1 turn before clearing locks in order to avoid the RNG.
Moments like that is where Tewi & Yukari are better.

The whale was also just randomly released in the middle of the month despite having the highest rarity a character can have.
