Well yes I would say that precisely strengthens my point. It's not like there was zero opportunity to do more group things in Tsukihime or F/SN. The former has Akiha, the maids, and Shiki all in one location. The later has Saber, Rin, and Shirou together. He could have chosen to do more in that department but largely didn't. That's not to say these groups didn't have some nice scenes together, but definitely it pales in comparison to Aoko, Alice, and Soujuurou hanging out.

The second, the very second he takes a life in order to see his ideal come true is the second it breaks completely with no hopes of it ever being repaired.

HF was the reverse of Kiritsugu's story, instead of killing his mother he decided to take a chance and try to save her no matter the odds or anything else. How can he call himself a hero if he can't save the most important person in his life.
