Imagine Kagerou affectionally hugging you from behind, with her hands near your waist, chest or even sometimes your head. You've got to stay composed. You've already heard of the aforementioned incident. You dont want the same to happen to you.
Best you can do is force a smile or a laugh if that helps you calm yourself, and tell Kagerou that it's okay, you totally don't fear for your life every time she cuddles with you. I think it would depend on the girl's nature. Many essential questions overall remain regardless of who you're looking at, like the idea of Yokais needing to scare or feed on humans in some ways, and how that plays into your relationship or not. Gauging how much of a need it actually is can be rather nebulous, so i'll leave that up to you. Besides, the scenario we're dealing is highly hypothetical to begin with.
Anyway, as for Kagerou; I think for example, given the clash between the predatory nature of Kagerou's species and how calm of a person she turned out to be, she wouldnt be too fond of you being scared of her. That serene attitude of hers I believe would translate into her just seeking a normal relationship with little in the way of teasing or species plays for the thrills of it. I don't think any of the grassroots would particularly get anything out of you fearing them, even Banki. I think as your relation deepens with Banki the appeal would kind of be lost. She's almost like a mature, if not a little jaded Kogasa to me.
A character I would see preying on her boyfriend's fears for the fun of it would be Yamame. A pretty lively character well aware of her power, who has to tell others she won't give them super AIDS or something, but at the same time doesnt seem to hold back on her thoughts, as she was rejected from the Myouren Temple for stating she thought worried visitors seemed delicious, so perhaps your fear & anxiety make you seem tastier to her. With all that baggage in mind she strikes me as playful enough to want to scare you.

I think things can certainly go to either extreme. Fear is quite important for your standard youkai, so it wouldn't hurt to have a personal source with plenty of extra benefits to go along with it. Others would definitely feel down about it.

That's a pretty good comparison, she is definetly more "realistic" when compared to Kogasa.
However that also comes from their natures, Kagerous race being something humans already hunted to death and her having the capabilities of actually being a threat to a few humans more than likely would not help in a village full of them where they would attack her out of primal need to defend their home. Even if she herself would love nothing more than live in peace and not hurt anyone.
Where as Kogasas very nature is more helpful than harmful and the concrete threat she presents to humans is a childish scare. She has also shown many of the usual traits of tsukumogami, being that she just as easily helps humans as she pranks them so she would be much more free to travel near anywhere in Gensokyo, leading to her more naive and carefree personality when compared to Kagerou.

Kagerous very existance is that of a wolf, if she is tamed (in the eyes of the humans) she would cease to exist or best case scenario become some other type of youkai. Shou is another example of this happening.

Doesn't Gensokyo's very nature and magic prevent this kind of stuff from happening? That is the purpose of Gensokyo, so for a youkai in it to be able to accidentally erase themselves in such a simple way seems questionable.
