Yeah these fighter bombers are pretty good. The E3 Corsair already mogs the Iwai fighter bomber which was the staple for years. They are only useful when you're really bleeding for air power, but considering the firepower that these EO ones have, they would be great even for normal use.

E3-2 LD has an AS requirement of like ~1400, and you only get 1 CV or 2CVL. Boss range is 8.

I agree, I'm not expecting to come back and rock every event on hard all the way through, but I feel that with my ships and equipment I should be able to at least do medium. I did medium E2. This E3 just feels a special level of difficult that can only be broken by abusing the most broken shit in the game. For E3-2 LD, these are your AS requirements:

>Easy - 1038
>Cas - 713
On an 8 range node with one ~300 armor boss, two ~220 armor 900 HP CV hime, and an escort full of 1-1 DD to waste your LBAS and support fleet. I don't even want the FCM, I just want to start getting better gear and I've been nothing but punished for it on this map.

Look earlier in the thread, I'm doing E3 on medium. I'm not expecting to clear hard. I did E1E, E2N, and was planning on E3N, then E the rest of the way because I lack ships to lock for later parts. It's pretty dated, and the first priority for newfags is to get the ships that complete the initial quests for 4 fleet slots (A4, A14, and A16). https://en.kancollewiki.net/Quests#Composition_Quests
Other priorities are to build a carrier/light carrier and use them for A11+B10 for a free Akagi, clear 1-4 to get access to 1-5, and build anti-sub equipment to use at 1-5 to grind levels on destroyers.
Also do PVP as much as possible, probably going to lose a lot but even then the XP is better than doing sorties and any damage taken is healed for free afterwards.

Just noticed the other E3 difficulties don't have it much easier.
LD on 乙 is 1097 and 1038 for 丙. At 713 for AS on Ding, would new players even have the planes to reach this or maybe settle for AP? Range 8 also means some of them might not even be able to sent land fighters there. lol
