Personally, I can't wait until the culprit is revealed. I'd love to see Piece Battler have a breakdown as he confronts the culprit.

Ryukishi tried to prove that you can't look at the story from a mystery perspective only by taking an overly exaggerated "detective" with bullshit abilities and made sure she would get a fuckload of misleading evidence which would cause her to not reach the "truth". In my opinion, that's a load of bullshit. Had he put a proper detective in the game, one who wasn't screaming "OH GOD PLEASE HATE ME I HAVE A PURPOSELY DETESTABLE PERSONALITY" he knows damn well that the game could've been looked at from a mystery perspective perfectly fine.
