I don't normally come here, but I think this a good place to ask my question.

I am something of a writer. I usually write romantic comedy pseudo smut. Some time ago, I was told to check out some visual novels. I ended up playing/reading/whatever Yume Miru Kusuri and Crescendo and absolutely loved the combination of storytelling, music, visuals, and smut. I liked the realistic setting and characters. However, I tried a few more visual novels, and most were just plain porn. I am trying to get into Fate/Stay night right now, but the fantasy setting is a complete turn off and I don't even know if the game gets into sex. I am at a loss to what visual novel I should turn to next, as I find that YMK and Crescendo were very inspiring.

My question is, are there any other good pornographic visual novels that are slice of life and not so high fantasy? I am willing to stretch a little, I'd just like to know what is worth reading. Pic somewhat related.

Suck my dick or die is a VN. Anyway, play Clannad, Da Capo, Shuffle, Brass Restoration. All of them are slice of life. Clannad is pretty good, Da Capo and Shuffle not so much. BR is quite nice too.

Umineko - amazingly good but not pornographic.
Yume Miru Kusuri and Crescendo - bad, pornographic, sex scenes suck.
ONE, CROSS†CHANNEL, Sharin no Kuni - fantasy (but it would be real enough for you), pornographic, sex scenes suck.
Kirakira, 100% slice of life, pornographic, shitty (but you'll like it), sex scenes suck.

>My question is, are there any other good pornographic visual novels that are slice of life and not so high fantasy?
Despite what you might think, that's a hard combination. Kanon suit that, but I don't really consider it to be on level with Crescendo and YMK.
If you could ditch either slice of life or no fantasy part I could make few recommedations.

I'm willing to make exceptions for extremely good writing.

Also, thank you everyone so far for recommendations.

Just play Muvluv, you'll never read a VN better than that.

Are you insane.
>Sharin no Kuni - fantasy
How is Sharin fantasy? The society is simple different from ours.
I'd recommed it to OP, but it's not really slice of life.
>Kirakira, shitty
What the hell man. Do not listen to this guy OP, read Kira Kira. It's great.

Oh, a side note to all recommending Clannad, I want to play it but every time I look for a download I am confronted with tons of options. I haven't much a clue what I am actually looking for.

I said he'll like kirakira didn't I? You want him to not listen to me, to not play it?

Sharin is fantasy. The society in it is absolutely unrealistic, I'd be more eager to believe in elves or witches than in this bullshit.

Then I'd recommend Sharin no Kuni, Cross Channel and Sekien no Inganock. They're all different from each other, but are considered to be great.
Cross Channel is basically love or hate thing, protagonist does that to lots of people. It's also written by the guy that planned YMK.
Sharin is great, tons of twists. I don't really know about porn in it, but... if you appreciate good story you should try it.
Inganock is incredibly stylistic and despite having male protagonist, has H-scenes written from view-point of female. Much more "fantasy" than other two.

Simply download the Full-Voice version for bigger resolution and maximum enjoyment of the game. Voices really add to the experience.

Kanon, ONE, ef, Suika, and Clannad (no porn but it's easily the best translated romance VN). Family Project, Cross Channel, and Sharin no Kuni all have great stories but don't focus too much on romance (all are eroge).

I suggest Sharin no Kuni or Kira Kira of you want the normal everyday (AKA "slice of life) stuff. The porn scenes are at the end of the game though, but the character interactions are quite satisfying and believable.

Clannad doesn't have any porn at all though.
Unless you count the Tomoyo after disc.
What keyfags doesn't tell you is that you will have to read over half of clannad before anything starts to happen, the first part of it truly isnt' that good if you ask me.
Don't overreact if you did in fact like it

I hope you're kidding.

Anyway, even if it's not slice of life, read Sharin OP. You won't be disappointed, it's really top tier, plot-wise, character-wise.

You might want to give a try to Cross Channel too. It's a hit or miss, though.

>> No.4089621

>>4089193
Actually, there is a huge bunch of slice of life in Sharin. Sure it might now have been the focus, but it was still quite substantial (to a fault, in my opinion).

>> No.4089689

>>4089621
People overuse the term slice of life. It's a genre, so it's not a term for describing specific scenes but rather the story as a whole. Just having some daily life scenes doesn't make something slice of life. Most stories have stuff like that.

>> No.4089746

>>4089193
People going about in their daily lives = "slice of life".

I dislike calling it that anyways. Most people tend to be confused by that label.

>> No.4089790

Wanko, it's fantasy/magical realism but you'll probably love it.
