Yeah actually I start to see more and more OS-tan appearing on the internet now from twitter and youtube mainly. If I had to guess it would probably one of early 2000s internet nostalgia trend probably.

Are think you're looking for people who were geniuly interested on investing themselfs to support the content of whichever franchise.
But you see instead get tourist that move in, staying for quite a relevant period, leaving marks around and may as well end up claiming that those marks were already there or that they knew better than you. And then to move on the next destination without regrets of their damages. With the suvierse they can claim they can then claim their great feats on the country and give their proven and truly "objective" and important opinions stated.
Some people just want to have the "experience" done and check it out on their list.
The discussion on changing this will would be about gaining a lot of power and be heard.
I think that some humans just adapted to the internet invulnerablity and they want to do the bold things to their meanies so that they get superiority points to show to some other peoples or to feed their themselfs for whatever reason.
The end of the story is that they don't know what they're looking for but they want to feel good asap depending on how long the average person of this sort can plan things out.
Personally, I don't think it's bad since on the other side many thing would be denied if any sort of more restriction on the freedom were to be applied.
On a better note, are you going fine anon? Do you take care of your mental health right? Do you also take care of your body health? It's important if you want to have a a proper reasoning ability to get over tough times.

I haven't seen it anywhere at all outside of 4chan, but I'm fine with that.
The characters are not "current" at all anyway, the only reason you'd give a shit about them is if you liked tech enough to nostalgia over old operative systems. I don't believe OS-tan ever had any big memes surrounding it either aside from a dance gif or two.
Even the newer ones (Nanami, Yu, Ai, Touko) aren't really popular. People are more content to make new -tans of consoles (all over again) and browsers than they are OSes because the average normalfag doesn't know anything about OSes or the inner workings of a computer.
