You apparently can only handle character development that involves talking about which side of the coronet is the head, so Umineko VN will be horribly boring for you.

Actually, no, that's one of the big differences between Umineko and Higurashi, that there's very little slice of life. It all takes place, with few exceptions, during a 2 day period, filled with crazy shit.

I thought the VN was so horrible I couldn't finish the Golden Witch arc. I decided I cannot play anymore around the part where they are in the guest house talking about Kinzou.

So far the only thing that has happened is really really painstakingly boring idle chatter between the family members, with excruciatingly slow introductions of every character. If this is the kind of thing that you are pissed Studio DEEN cut out, then I have no idea what the fuck is up with you people. The entire time I just wanted some shit to happen. Instead I got really bad background music to poorly written dialogue about fucking nothing.

So now every time I see shit like "Ohh, they cut ____ out of the anime" I am going to assume that it was stupid and pointless like the entire VN is thus far.. also, I am going to assume the anime is much better without the shitty music.

The plot in the anime is shit, and now I'll assume that it seriously was the actual plot of the VN OR maybe that the VN is just so long-winded that making a real adaptation is impossible without cutting out huge chunks [probably both].

Also, I love how people keep pointing out that Studio DEEN makes "animation errors" and that in general, the faces the characters make in the anime are "wat".... when the VN has the worst art I have ever seen so popular in my entire life.

This is a payback for having to read in every ep discussion "OMG I HATE THE ANIME WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO THE VN!!!!" The anime is shit, get over it and stop watching if you care so much.

I only watched the first ep.
I can conclude from the first ep that it is shit.
There is no love at all and zero atmosphere compare to the VN.

However I did finished the Higurashi and playing through the Higurashi VN you can really see how they failed in the atmosphere department.
You don't messed around with the Hinamizawa people where in the anime it is just about Keiichi going insane with a little push.

Umineko: The music in the VN is horrible. Especially 生まれてきてくれてありがとう (crappy background music from the VN played in the episode 26 preview of the anime).

I find it funny how VN fans are ignorant at times. They expected to see EVERY single detail and EVERY single line animated in the adaptation. (Including filler scenes). Yet the anime has a 26 episode time span. I remember when I first saw the anime in the end of July and a couple of sources (Including this one) said in the anime description that this adaptation was going to have 26 episodes.

Have you ever seen how long was the VN? What the hell did you expect?
