First get process explorer from microsoft/sysinternals, then run the game and find the decrypted exe's location with PE, give us that and we can remove the other copy protections

I think we'd already know how to deal with mangagamer's drm at this point. The drm can't be cracked because the exe is encrypted (it'd be like bruteforcing a passworded rar). What we need is the decrypted exe which is extracted in a temporary folder when a legit user runs the game.
So tell that guy to download process explorer (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx)), run the game, find the real game exe and upload it.

I don't remember how it works exactly but usually if you simply "Open Location" on the temp process you can get the cracked exe.

Two possibilities I can see here:

1. dacapo.exe does a check shortly after it extracts the data files (thus the 10M RAM usage) and refuses to run because the check fails. Should be relatively easy to fix.

2. The instruction format of the data files has changed. We'll need the virgin BGI.EXE for that, i.e. for someone who can run it successfully to dump the file so it can be analyzed.

I don't know if this is what you mean but I believe what was uploaded was working for them, but when we put it on our computers its coming up with the serial screen. Not sure though.
