You can't really say Kouma got boosted the same way until we see more Oni shit and how they stack up against vampires. But he probably did get properly scaled given his MB setting has him beating Ciel and casually going to beat the vampire causing trouble. I want to see the real Kouma in action for the love of god. Even not-DA Sion is supposedly more sturdy than your normal servant. Kouma boy is some anomaly as far as Oni go given how he is both enlightened and essentially a full oni in human skin. Nasu: Yeah. At that time, Takeuchi had just finished finalizing the character design. I had already finished most of my storytelling work, and around 2009, Takeuchi, who had not yet started working on Mahoutsukai no Yoru, began preparing the sprites.

Around 2011, when the development of "Mahoutsukai no Yoru" came to an end, serious internal work began, and by 2012 the text was finished before rut Ciel, and I think about 60% of all sprites were ready. At the same time, I was working on other games as well, so I was able to fully concentrate on "Tsukihime" after about a year... it was 2013.

At the time, we were planning to release the game at the end of 2014, so if we could work together for the remaining year and a half, then we should have... But then Aniplex asked us if we wanted to try making a game for smartphones. (bitter smile).

4Gamer: This is where the "FGO" project begins.

Nasu: Our original plan was to finish work on FGO in about two years. When developing a new game, most of the time is spent on the graphics part, but in the case of "Tsukihime R" it took us three years to prepare, but then it was decided to improve the quality of the game in the middle, so it took us all four years. That was the calculation. Therefore, it was assumed that it was possible to make "FGO", waiting for the materials to be ready.

Ciel definitely had the best chemistry with Shiki out of all the other girls. Shiki and Ciel are literally like a married couple from the very start of the VN.

Ciel is consistently the only character that is shown to be competent, assured, and benign. She is consistently the only character Shiki can trust. She is, consistently, the only character that knows what she's doing, and is willing to help Shiki. When Shiki is babbling around like the retard he so often is in the VN, Ciel is always here to reassure him, help him get back on his feet, and is just a great human bean in general.

Ciel was a secretive mask-upon-mask character and becomes unpredictable because of how often she switches between them even though Ciel acts completely independent from Shiki and the rest of Tsukihime's plot. The umbrella scene where Ciel finds Shiki in the rain and he has nowhere to go, so she takes him to her apartment and help him get back to his regular self. That scene is also triggered by having Shiki face reality instead of denying that it happened and having him believe that it was just a dream.

Ciel was cool as hell, with Ciel running up the wall and attacking from the fucking CEILING and Shiki can’t help but be honest and think of it as “charmingly beautiful”.

Just finished Case Files and it was absolutely majestic, probably my favourite Nasuverse work that's not written by Nasu. So glad that I decided to not look up the spoilers for the untranslated cases for all this time and experienced everything firsthand. If there are anons here who know Japanese but for whatever reason still haven't touched CF, I strongly recommend that you do as soon as possible, especially since it's now fully available on nyaa.

I would say yes and no. Nasu upped the stakes in remake in response to world threats and you don't get into the ranks of a DAA unless you're a true monster.
Old Nero was weird in that he was essentially unkillable and very alien and had a technique that could restrain Arc and required continental destruction to break out of. But he really just sent out beasts and then 999th where he was physically on par with Arc/top tier.
Conversely Vlov is a master combatant able to match Arc in high-speed melee combat and even skilled enough to have a three-way master class dance with Ciel and Shiki while only having one arm. He also casually blasts through a 7000 ton tsunami of earth one handed and able to flash-freeze a city in an instant. When he killed Shiki he instantaneously froze his entire body and shattered him. IIRC Arc completely destroyed him in her surprise attack but he regenerated. Even if he's weak by DAA standards in remake, he seems stronger than basically anything previously seen. Nero and stronger characters are probably retarded broken giving the increase to the setting.

The issue with Zero isn't that it changes stuff, but rather that it sometimes does so for the dumbest reasons. If a change from FSN resulted in a better overall story, that would be fine - Kirei is the highlight of Zero for me. His character arc is amazing. The fact that it got changed from what we know from FSN (namely - that Kirei accepted his nature after his wife's death) is for the better as it allows for growth and change in the character. Contrast this with Saber, where the changes made to her are not for the better. In fact, the story is weaker for it as she is reduced to but an extreme deontological caricature there to contrast with Kerry's absolute utilitarianism and is nothing but that. Kirei is compelling; Saber is not.
