I think a big part of it is she feels uncomfortable about walking into a bar. She drinks all the time but it's different there, as estranged as she seems to be from the human village she clearly cares a lot about keeping up appearances as a proper shrine maiden there. Last time she went she even put on a bit of a disguise.

In general she does seem to have gotten kinder and less violent though. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Kinda miss the crimson slasher.

Miyoi hides it but you've seen how all the other youkai "hide" and people politely ignore them, and she's said she's been there before the bar existed so if the bar has been there a while they've probably vaguely noticed her not getting older. Nah not really, we haven't seen any old school youkai, just some hallucinations by characters while drunk. This manga is about the zashiki warashi of a pub in the human village. Good amount of Suika Mamizou and Aya in it. We also get to see a seldom seen side of Reimu, one that doesn't jump at the opportunity to exterminate a youkai causing trouble

Almost every occurrence is her about to kill Miyoi because she thinks she's behind it, to the point she apologized this chapter. I don't think she's once showed up in her bar without the intent to smoke her.

I still wonder why the plots of this and detective Satori are so similar. Taking over people minds, making them forget, targeting powerful people and youkai, alcohol being the link, a single character (Marisa/Miyoi) constantly being accused of causing all the problems even though it's the act of someone else.

On an unrelated train of thought, I've been wondering lately what it would be like if Miyoi used Suika's worm slime in cocktails and things of that sort to disguise the flavor while keeping the alcohol.
