Now that I think of it, does Sakuya have a pinkish tint to her hair in EoSD or is it just an effect of the surroundings being red, and by extension the scarlet mist?
I think in later games it's just a regular silver or a very slight bluish tint.

I can see it, but Yumeko already throws swords.
I see Sakuya as more of a blitz person, so maybe elegant form with quick strikes? Although, that's more in line with regular fencing to begin with.
Nobody expects you to throw a knife, but you can expect someone with a Rapier to move quickly and poke a hole in you.
