3807617 No.3807617 [Reply] [Original]

I want to know before I even bother.

Is there any way to have a happily-ever-after ending where Sakura is saved? Or does she die/he die no matter what?

In one ending, Shirou dies and Sakura grows old alone until she dies from old age and in the other ending, they both end up happily ever after

>> No.3807633

Yes she gets a BEST END for her at least, not so much for shirou though.

Shirou dies in the True End. He just gets Sorcery'd back to life. The Third Sorcery's ultimate power is dragging a soul back from the grave, remember? Ilya just couldn't use it to the point of making the soul create its own body.

So no, no Sakura end where Shirou does not die.

Yeah, HF True End is just fucking bullshit. It's a fanfic ending, probably the worst written, least believable ending in the whole game.

HF Normal End OTOH was excellent. Almost worth reading HF just for that.

Why? It's pretty much...just a happy ending. I don't really see how it's any different from rin's good end, probably because it isn't.

Also, using Disney unironically just has to stop. Soon, it will just become a word that means "vn I hate" and all of /jp/ will be saying SONG OF SAYA BLOOM END IS FUCKING DISNEY SHIT GET OUT ED EISNER DEVS.

To me it felt like one of Tsukihime's "Good Endings", and I never really considered those particularly canon, so it gave me this kind of "yeah right, that never happened" feeling.

>>3808389
This comment still seems fucking ridiculous to me.
I was actually surprised the NORMAL ending happened instead of the true ending, which I expected (3d magic and Ilya coming into play).
Dunno what's out of place about it, neither with the theme of teh route or the mechanics.
I suspect people don't want Sakura to be really happy.

I'm pretty sure that's it. That's also why people go on about Mind of Steel being the "true ending"/"epic gar"/whatever other nonsense.

>> No.3808469

>>3808433
Comeuppance is one thing(though a good chunk of casualties is really not her fault and she cannot do anything to fix it, and the hero forgives her, not sure what you want). As for their relationship, it's not really worse then the other two, really. Similar circumstances put them together. Anything in particular that put you off?

>>3808426
Exactly, Battler. That kind of feeling.

>> No.3808520

>>3808469
It's a question of execution mainly.
It really felt "too easy", but it's just a feeling.
And for the relationship, well every relationships that involved Shirou with a main heroine was pretty crappy so saying it wasn't worse than the other isn't saying much.

>> No.3808540

>>3808520
Well, it's weird to specifically complain about it.
And 'felt easy' still seems weird to me.
Nobody really justifies it, just throws around 'Deus Ex Machina' and ' too sudden'.

It's strange, it's only Sakura that truly has a good ending where she's surrounded by all her friends and Shirou.
Saber either dies, becomes a servant to Rin (which implies a relationship forming between Rin and Shirou) or waits for who knows how long in Avalon.
Rin has it a bit better, at least in one of her endings she does get to go to London with Shirou.

The one who kills the most gets the happiest ending.
