None of the voice actors benefited from Cookie besides YMN and a majority of the ones affected by doxxing wouldn't be able to tell the difference between content that mocks them and content that doesn't, let alone the difference between their "sympathizers" who still enjoy Cookie and the average Cookiefag.

Really hope they delve more into the history of cookie and not just the characters. I've always wondered why more voice dramas continued to be made, given the original's infamy and the surrounding community. Were the voice actors essentially tricked into working on a TUHU looking project? It's especially odd for subversive ones like Kusso and Self-Contradiction, since they had to know what they were getting into.

The origin of Cookie itself could be considered an autist taking things too far in order to get laid so how is that different from everything that happened afterwards? Most of the things that happened after that weren't any worse either since we have multiple people (Kazuya, Atouda, TIS) tricking amateur voice actors with the intent of making them into Cookie characters after the original Cookie and the voice actors getting harassed, having their accounts mass reported into deletion and getting doxxed, KNN getting death threats from an insane Reimu waifufag which is what brought attention to the Cookie 2 in the first place, a Cookiefag pushing Riran's flipnote fanfic as a voice drama and trying to monetize it and Riran having to switch schools due to bullying in real life as a result of Cookiefags making content of her flipnotes. It's hypocritical to act like you care whether the voice actors get screwed over because of Cookie when that's the reason why a lot of them and their voice dramas are relevant.

Isn't it natural to want these MADs and BBs to exist without the bad history? You're right that modern Cookie only happened because harassment drew attention to it, but it'd be nice if most of the VAs didn't feel the need to completely disappear from the web.

It's natural but it won't change anything in the eyes of moralfags who harass Cookiefags nor does it change anything in the eyes of the voice actors who disappeared because of that. That being said, even if Cookie somehow managed to exist without the doxxing, harassment and scandals many of the voice actors would still have disappeared from the internet since many popular voice lines are highlights from their most embarrassing moments like NYN mocking AKN, UDK thinking she was RU's friend, basically every voice line from RRM, etc. They would have their online reputations ruined and become laughingstocks either way since none of those moments had to do with Cookie's dark history.
