...but I don't feel like timing the subs.
If anyone here wants to do it, feel free to use my script: https://pastebin.com/EayabJfQ

If you feel like it, put words wrapped in *asterisks* in italics, but it's up to you.

The raw is on youtube, just search "Touhou Summer days dream Episode 4"

Might try timing it if I have time. Anyone know where could I find the highest quality version of the video?

>> No.37830534

>>37830398
Torrent, i believe.
I remember, on the thread when the Ep.4 came out, somebody said there was a Blu-ray ver. available or a HD ver.

>>37830534
I don't think it's up on torrents yet, or maybe I'm just not doing a good enough job looking.

I used https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8kDJngHwqk to translate it. Not perfect, but not bad by any means compared to some of the older releases if you rip the 1080p version

>> No.37831086

>>37830993
nevermind, it's on nyaa, just look for the english title instead of japanese

>> No.37835423

Okay, here's a first attempt at timing (in fact, I just opened the script in SubtitleEdit and saved it as an SRT file first, then loosely altered the timings in Aegisub):
https://mega.nz/file/jNxjDapT#_-G4pmokVNDsPCacG7qMwJuFsmVfSMunaCu85oJDEhk

But as you can see, timings are mostly wrong being way ahead or lagging behind. I tried to use this tool (https://github.com/JoshuaWalsh/aegisub-timewarp)) but am too stupid to understand how it works or how to enter time codes that are over the 1-minute mark (it by default assumes everything has to be "0.something" where an usual time code is something like this: "9:99:99.99"). So if anyone has an idea of how to shift/stretch those time codes so that:

0:00:04.70 becomes 0:00:05.30 (beginning of "Non-Directional Laser!" line)
0:21:36.70 becomes 0:21:39.30 (beginning of "...Are all about firepower!" line)

Using this tool (or a better time stretcher, if you know one), please go ahead. Those timings are supposed to match a typical unedited BD-rip, just like the YouTube upload from >>37830993 (which might not last knowing how Tokine reacts when he finds out unauthorized reprints of his works).

>>37835423
Cool. I'll take a look at it.

That scary huh. Makes me all the more surprised the Fantasy Kaleidoscope circle just uploads to yt now (even if it's shit quality).

>> No.37847729

>>37835423
Damn, I feel like it would be easier to just change the time codes manualy.

>> No.37848722

>>37835423
Okay, I finally decided not to stretch timings but delay them by a few seconds and got somewhat workable results. I manually retimed (to >>37847729, yep, that's what I ended up doing) 79 lines so far. If anyone want to pick up where I left, just go ahead.

It looks like for some reason the link has changed even though I just updated and overwrote my file:
https://mega.nz/file/DYwmTJLR#mqny_HqxqmXpmDYFg9GTuimwTrQKxHtAPJbMm3lqehQ

I noticed 2 missing/non-transcribed lines. Line 41, Reimu says something to Suika (telling her to calm down or something). And line 70 is blank (we have that doppelgänger-Suika coming in).

>>37839703
Yeah, I saw that coming. The video is already gone. Manpuku Jinja also react the same way but with one major difference. Once they have released the episode n YouTube and Niconico, you can pretty much anything you want with it (unlike Tokine who doesn't want anyone to reprint any episode, old or new, parody or not). By any chance, did anyone notice if some subs were being put before the deletion?

If needed, I can upload a copy of the episode, but in low resolution (for subbing needs, mainly). Unless some of you know where to look at. There should be some reprints on Bilibili and Acfun anyway.

OP here
I'm out in the country with some awful internet and without my pc so it'll take me a bit to download the episode again since the yt upload got axed.

I'll double check everything and let you know tomorrow, here's hopes the thread doesn't 404

I'm not sure exactly which Reimu line that's gonna be but I think I wrote all of them down, so could you check again? When the speaker changes I started the line with a -

Doppelganger's very first spoken line should read as "I ask thee:"
(I actually messed this up and used the wrong pronoun so if you could update it that'd be sick. I made the pastebin as a guest so its out of my hands)

If you mean the mumbling Suika does as she wakes up, thats not really anything intelligible at all.

>> No.37854370

Thanks for all your hard work!

>> No.37858926

>>37848722
>>37849100

Okay, I checked. I think you might have just deleted them when clearing my rudimentary timestamps by accident. Just double check with the pastebin.

The subtitle that appears at around 05:41
should read as
>Suika! How much longer are you going to keep whining?
>- I wanna have some matsutake shrooms and live it up!

The doppelganger's first line at around 8:59 should read as
>I ask thee:

>>37858926
Yeah, my bad. SubtitleEdit did a lot of nasty things to the script, from stripping off some lines (the ones with brackets and some on the same line as a time stamp) to introducing unwanted line breaks everywhere. I had to clean that mess again. Anyway, I think I came up with usable subtitles now and readded everything missing:

https://mega.nz/file/7ZZmGLrJ#lG8SDnXFI0m_n4YXg4zdQ_n30PF-mD0c4-CWNGMT5_M

All lines are timed now, including signs which I put at the top. Anyone who want to proofread again or perfect them can go ahead. You can now try to watch the anime with them using the source of your choice (but it will work better on a rip containing the main title only, as I used that as a reference).

I revised everything, fixed some typos, adjusted the font styles and sizes and in/out times of some lines, etc...

I only just now found out that nyaa doesn't accept new account registrations so I don't actually know how to get it up there. The best I can do is Mega: https://mega.nz/file/EYA2jTKC#CaMbgNsUKy85pVeHFiIcxWQa9szRBE7-qXhub7g03rA

If you're someone with a nyaa account and want to get it up there, be my guest. Credit NaokiP for the translation. Or don't, I can't make you.

Enjoy.

Thanks to all the anons who made this translation possible, that's some quality /jp/ content.

The episode's art style is stunning. I wish ZUN would approve for a 12 episodes series looking like this and based strictly on canon to be made and sold as a doujin work instead of gacha games...

Yeah, same thing happened to me. I would have translated it even sooner if I knew it was available.

I plan to do Hifuu Katsudou Kiroku 3-1 too whenever I get my hands on a raw and if nothing catastrophic prevents me from doing it.
