You can set the exact from-to dates for your searches, and the best tags for songs are likely the ones in the format of ミクオリジナル曲 , リンオリジナル曲 etc. for each Vocaloid. They should cover like 90% of the songs, though you'll get duplicates for duets.

Alright, I just tried it with the VOCALOID tag and saw NND only goes back 50 pages (which was only 31st Dec '09 - 17th Dec' 09 in this case). So it seems like this will take a while even with the other tags, but duplicates are not a problem and will be skipped. For archival purposes I will download them as videos first, but can also do a round for just audio. It will probably take a week or two though.

IIRC Colorful Palette (spun off from Craft Egg, the ones in charge of Garupa) initially thought of doing the same, but went with four *3s instead because they figured from experience that no one would care about going for the *3, and this is why one of the three *4s for almost every event banner lacks a costume.

Yeah, I know. Most games typically make the old event cards available in future events, archive old events so newer players can play them and get the event cards there (no ranking tier rewards though), or have an event shop where you can buy the old event cards. Project Sekai is the first gacha game I've seen that dumps them into the gacha pool, which I believe other games don't do because most older players wouldn't want to have a higher chance of getting a card they already have from playing during older events, but Proseka can get away with this because it isn't going to add any new *3s (or *2s for that matter) outside of events, unlike other games, so the only thing that's going to change here is which dupe you'll get, which doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

I feel like PJD has a shit ton of unpopular songs compared to this though. Heck they even brought in some non-cryptonloid songs like Night Sky Patrol, Charles and Happy Synthesizer just due to them being incredibly famous. Yeah I think the translation is actually pretty good. At least by the standards of your average gacha game's VN segments, usually you end up with overly verbose phrases and japan-isms that sound weird in english, so the conversations being fluid is at least a nice surprise.
