I will reiterate a bit, but the very surface level (the casual, there are you servant husbandos as well) of TM is fine, those are anime and later works. But I believe that at least 90% of people in /tmg/ have read OG stuff, and this is were it goes dubious. So I guess my point is, I find it unlikely for a girl to like the whole TM enough to dwell here.

One merely needs to pick up a weapon to overcome someone else physically, but mental strength isn't so easily gained. Nasu Kinoko's works grant strength of arms to female characters, while having male characters embody strength of spirit. When I noticed this, I realized that some strong biases must have congealed within me. For example, Arcueid is said to be the most powerful character in TYPE-MOON, but she also has another side that gives into whatever Shiki says because she's fallen head over heels for him. At that moment, the male character is made out to be superior. If it had really been neutral, then she could have just used her overwhelming power to send Shiki flying. Like, "you damn two-timer!" (laughs)"

"Male coded" is a strong word, but kind of. Female being MC doesn't mean it caters to females and vice-versa. There might be a correlation, but generally that's just not what determines the target auditory. FHA surely is not female-oriented imo.

Even if something is male-oriented, it doesn't mean everybody has to lust for the MC's cock all the time or anything, you know. Say, the OG Alien has a strong female MC, but it's still mostly male-oriented (of course not in exclusive sense), cause there's a lot of guns, gore and action.
My point was about the self-inserts of OG and the plot at least partially revolving around every heroine lusting for him. That's as male-oriented as it gets imo. About the rest, I see it was a message mishap and you weren't meaning to gatekeep or be offensive. But I see what you mean by male oriented, which involves dating the girls. It's just a fact that almost all plotges are galges. The stories can be great and have great themes, but the routes involve the male mc romancing a heroine. But I don't think this is a bad thing if you're still able to enjoy the story, and sometimes even like the romance as well. It's an accepted fact that vns are galges and yet women are fine with that because they still connect with the stories and also play otomes if they don't like galges all the time. Never seen any woman complain about that. So I think there's no point in worrying about if a work is oriented towards a certain gender, especially TM works, because people are able to enjoy them regardless. I don't know, anon, I think that characters in OG displayed their powers well enough, e.g. Nero, Ciel, Roa (although he is a bit debatable). I could imagine Nero being a good match for Ciel with her strugling. But even Nasu himself said that DAAs (not even talking about about the usual DAs) got powercrept. They were very strong and able to match the strongest humans easily before, but now even DAAs die like it's nothing.
If you look at top Mages fight prowess, like in Mahoyo/KnK, except for one Alice's Ploy, most of them weren't crazy flashy.

Well, what's the conflict here? The implication is just that they were always deemed that powerful but because nasu went off the rails in how it's showcased he had to make things more extreme to fit his model. That's why you have one of the weakest Ancestors releasing city wide flash freezes that probably auto kills any Nasu character without explicit resistance to extreme cold like Ciel.

Well we didn't really know much about them other than that they all had reality marbles and weird shit like tatari, Nero and Time curses etc. They were very abstract and I think Remake is sticking to that for the most part with emphasis on breaking the rules of the world and curses. DA just have top tier supernatural physicals on top of that and regeneration.

Now that the hype around the remake has died down a bit, can we all agree that Ciel True End is a very underwhelming ending, which completely fails to live up to the essence of what made Tsukihime in the first place? New "super badass abilities" being introduced left and right, the whole fight being build as if it came directly from Fate, extensive amount of pretentious info dump that serves no purpose except from breaking the flow of the whole fight. Now you combine that with the fact that everything is dragged to hell through contrived narrative, and a Shiki who turns into a complete retard halfway through the fight because "arcueid so beautiful!!!", which makes everything he's done for Ciel up to this point completely pointless, writing almost befitting of the good ending from the OG. Don't get me started on the climax, it's almost like we're in a completely different story by that point. The Normal End was fucking kino don't get me wrong, but I refuse to believe that The True End was written alongside everything that has been established during the route, the whole thing feels so divorced and disjointed. It's terrible.

Ciel True End was just a way to show the increased power levels of Tsukihime. Before ever writing the remake, Nasu said that he wanted to raise the stakes and power levels and he did so.

The story now takes place in Tokyo instead of a suburban retard town. Ciel can now use an attack that equals Excalibur. Arcade is actually a near unkillable spirit/concept.

So the true end actually IS the remake and everything else is fluff. He wanted to bring the characters in line with FGO power levels.

Happens in most fights if you want to be really pedantic but it's just 1 per character in this one. For Shiki it's just learning the proper mechanical applications of vampirism and Attraction, neither of which are particularly advanced concepts in-verse so him picking them up quickly from the best possible teacher is fine. The only truly new thing Ciel shows here is Calvaria's Star, and Arc's shit apart from giant mode is just a much stronger application of how her abilities were already shown to have worked.
