Pi is a transcendental number, you baka.

Sorry to break it to you newbro, but this has been a meme for a pretty long time now.

No shit. Doesn't make it any less forced when they come here and shout BAKA BAKA.

I know a circle's radius and area. Therefore, I know pi within the limits of measurability. Fuck you, theory. Go be quantum somewhere.

Actually, throughout all of high school, whenever I had to use Pi in calculation for an assignment or exam I would always just use 3 instead. It made everything so much easier.

Did you pass any of your math classes?

>> No.3711305

Throughout high school I was required to express the answer to any problem involving Pi as Pi multiplied by some coefficient.

I never thought I'd see the day people would get so vehement over Cirno threads. Guess faggots had to show up some time.

It's incredibly sad, but yes. I went to public school in America, I don't think anyone really noticed. I'm pretty sure my math teacher was a wife-beating alcoholic.

Silly Cirno, infinity is not a concept that a mere human, youkai or fairy can grasp in numerical terms. You can't calculate Pi's exact value. If you think you have done it, you're wrong.

What if she reads /jp/ though?

I have a degree in physics, and while studying I never bothered to learn Pi beyond 3.141. I virtually never even used that in any calculations, since I'd just use the pi button on my calculator.

I'm always baffled by pretentious shits who think being able to recite Pi to some bumfuck number of digits is indicative of intelligence or is at all impressive.

Fuck those guys. All the smart people know the last digit of Pi is a laser, anyway.

Any reasonable computer language should have a PI constant pre-calculated to the maximum precision possible for a given floating-point or rational number type; use that instead. It should be in the math portion of the standard library.

Pi isn't constant though. It changes depending on how big the circle is.

Circumference of Circle = 2 (Pi) (Radius)

I can't tell if you're actually stupid or just trolling. I must've missed the memo where they that pi is a fucking VARIABLE.
