Cleared in 17 runs. Toukai to R, 1 fighter 2 bombers to X, 3 bombers to Z2. Try to touch X, and if it didn't activate, touch on Z2. You can have your CL and CAV trade spots to keep both sparkled. If the sub decoy goes red on X, you can still proceed to Y before deciding if you want to retreat her. Also, make sure you have enough detection. I got sent to Z1 because I wasn't paying attention.

If you have Suzuya or Kumano untagged, it should be safe to burn them here instead of Mikuma as long as you still have Mogami in Force Z.

According to my records, I got sent home from X 4/17 times during E3-3 and 5/17 times during E3-4. It's not a particularly threatening node since it's always ring formation.

Hard also has a significantly easier time passing the night node because the Ne-class use double attacks instead of cutins and are thus that much less likely to hit.

Scout fulmar doesn't give damage boosts in E2, so you can switch it out for a fighter if you need to hit an air control cutoff at R.

Mortars are kind of terrible, and if you can't do 1-slot OASW, you're probably better served loading your DDs for either all imp or all ASW. If your DDs are only barely able to break armor on supply depot, that's actually worse than nothing since DD double attacks could otherwise chip supply depot for a few hundred per hit. They might be able to clean up artillery imps, but those typically don't survive into the night anyway unless you're terribly unlucky.

If your Gotland is andra, then WG+Daihatsu is actually stronger than WG WG even when unupgraded, though of course you'll get better results with more stars.

The phase 3 version of node S has no air power, so you don't need the air support fighter.

1) Kirishima swapped for Italia.
2) Kumano swapped for I-13kai because fuck node U.
3) All married except Commandant and Naganami, because they aren't 99 yet but I figure I might marry them later.
4) All hole punched except I-13 because 5-5 changes happened before I decided to hole punch her and my other hole punched sub was locked to Force H.
5) No damecon, I just put skilled lookouts iirc.
Oh, and I had roughly 72-74k ammo starting to farm and around 68k by the time I was done. I think. I mainly payed attention to that because that was the least amount for me, baux is relatively light I feel.
Might have spent 30k+ fuel though, but that includes clearing.

Good luck. But besides that, bring a sub tank for node U so you don't get lucky with the CA just to get sniped by PT boats. But if you're farming on hard you might need the firepower so its hard to say.
Fortunately, most of the nodes pre-U are air or sub nodes so you'll be spending less resources if you get turned back, which you will.
I don't know what's the A-rank droprate but if you're on normal perhaps you might want to take FCF and let FF clear up and Mogami finisher. Most of my runs was essentially FF murders the few remaining and Mogami was just a formality.

Going memedium for the last map because of time constraints and this is like a sunny trip through a flower field. The absolute difference after doing hard only for several years is astounding. Your damage bonuses are maxed out with one Re 2001 and any fighter from A2B2. Don't waste your time with any of the A2 planes and just use your named Japanese bombers.

You lose too much damage if you set up anyone other than Akagi or Kaga for night. For anyone else you should just focus on daytime performance.

Probably but it's Force H so just reuse your E2 carriers. Use bonus carriers, cranes, Taihou, and if you used Akagi or Kaga they can mule the FCF and still carry bonus planes. The boss just kind of rolls over so don't sweat it too much and FF can bail you out a little too. The issue with that phase was the M node but it's relatively painless on anything below hard.

Man, E3-4 LD really is free, cleared on the first try. The debuff really nerfs the hell out of them. Nelson touch did something like 2000 cumulative damage. Then all members of the Yamato friend fleet did at least 300 damage each, leaving Ooi to finish with a DA.

I used the Zekamashi fleet, slightly modified for better ASW and night battle survival. I also filled Akitsushima with seaplanes so I could give Akagi some bombers for a little more damage.

My pass rate was about 70%, with most runs ending on U or R. Interestingly, X was pretty easy to pass most of the time.

Okay, thanks. Kinda worried about CTF escort fleet's survivability in X node.

I loaded Akagi w/a TB & bonus fighters so she could help at X node & it seems to be working in conjunction with node support. Also dumped Kamo for a 2nd CAV & put Ro in escort for subtanking since Y's not a serious threat. Got to the boss only for Red T & Nelson fail. At least I managed to get there & bring her hp down by a third.
