Majikoi and Tsuyokiss are probably closer to comedy rather than drama, and I think Baldr Sky would work better under Science-Fiction/Thriller.

It also seems a little odd to call Romanesque adventure since so much of it is a sort of fantasy slice of life, but I guess it kind of works.

Even if you don't like Baldr Sky, you can like MuvLuv.

MuvLuv is very well made overall (story, visuals, ambientation, etc.) and barring a few "lol what?" plot devices (pouring resources into building several huge starships at a Lagrangian point when the Earth is fighting a desperate battle), and the usual eroges chilcés, the game is a fucking masterpiece. The only flaws is the few shock scenes it has (I recall 2 graphical and 1 psychological) and maybe the happy end.

Swan Song. Baldr Sky. EXTRAVAGANZA. Maybe Muv-Luv if he gets serious about translating Extra/Unlimited....

Any of those aforementioned games would rock. Although most of the things on the list are good and would make me happy. Just not generic moe/harem shit. I'm looking at you Ruitomo, Flyable Heart

I sort of disagree with you on the subject of the shock scenes. For the most part, I felt they were pretty damn well done and not just added in for the hell of it. The one with Marimo for example is great because it forced you to realize just how fucked up that world was. Sure it was shocking and excessively gruesome, but that was kind of the point. Now, I'm not sure what the second one you're referring to is, but if it's the one where the superior existence dangles Tama's corpse in front of you and demands proof that it was once a sentient being, then I'd have to say it doesn't get much more chilling that that. Definitely not a flaw. In fact, the only part that really felt like it didn't serve some purpose was the whole Sumika rape thing. That was, admittedly, pretty stupid and I have no idea why it wasn't cut or at least toned down a bit.

Those are the scenes I referred to. They part of the game, people shouldn't play it if they can't handle war with a few gruesome scenes.

With happy end I refer to Final Extra. You know, the one that enables the fandisk. As there are nearly infinite parallel worlds, not every place can reach a happy end. The Takeru whose story is told ended in a peaceful world (which is even better than the original EX world) so it's a happy end.

So what's this game about anyway?

Someone told me about Comyu already; A Comyu is a team of randomly chosen 5 people, who are forced to create a team (a Comyu) to control an Avatar in form of big monster shit. If an Avatar dies, those 5 people dies as well. The only way to level up your Avatar is to kill other Avatar. Now you can guess where it's going.

Protagonist is the opposite of Shirou because he's a feminazi. If people die, as long as they're male, it's perfectly fine.

The scenario is designed so that every characters in the game has some relation with all this Comyu business.

Four routes before unlocking Kagome (true) route. Who is a kukri wielding mysterious witch (bitch) like Beatrice who can pawn literally everyone's asses without Avatar.

Mangagamer has already released more good VNs than JAST USA ever did. I just wish the translation quality only goes up and that they keep picking up good VNs.

From what I managed to get out of Ruitomo, Throughout the world(country?) there a people with marks on their bodies, which come with certain rules depending on the person and in return for not breaking these rules, you get rewarded with a power or somesuch e.g. Redhead girl has super strength if I remember correctly. There are classes in Comyu; the protagonist is high class Bishop, Benio (twintail, idiot girl) is a rogue, Mayuki (toad cap, most comedic loli) is a guard, Haru the maid is mage, Izawa is fighter. Those roles determine the strength and control of their Avatar.

Compared to Ruitomo, Comyu has less wordplay and more action. So they're more easy for translation. Both of these game have the same artist/writer/staff, and the fanbase seems to be very satisfied with these two products; compared to Japanese Sharin fans getting let down by G-senjou.

And you have probably never realised how horrible mangagamers translations are just because you don't understand japanese. Translating from japanese to english is more than just having gramattically correct english in the end, mangagamers translation loss just damages the works way too much, the fans never realize this though.
