The new trailers look really good. I was disappointed with the redesigns like everyone else when I first saw them years ago, but they are growing on me.
Also, it didn't help that Takeuchi's art for the gacha was so fucking bland and/or bad. I was afraid the remake was also going to look bland but I'm glad it seems like he's actually putting effort on this since it looks way better.

Arc was always edgy and insane, but the nuance of it was different I feel. NuArc seems like she has more of WArc in her so far. Compare the sprites of the original Tsukihime and everytime Arc has her mystic eyes coming on it's always like she's trying to suppress it. Her mystic eyes expressions were always that of a cornered, injured animal being forced to lash out rather than a battle maniac getting high on the heat of the battle; Arc was never a Blood Knight. Yeah I'm leaving the door open. The context of the scene is important. I think it can still be otherwise good if executed well. I should also say that it isn't necessarily a bad thing for Arcueid to be a different character, it is a remake after all, but that subjectively I have some very strong feelings about that since she's my favorite Nasuverse character, so if they make her a smiling edgy battle maniac and people like that, then ok, but it's just not an Arc for me.

I'm a big fan of her new voice actress, though. She's not quite as good as the original, but I've read a few eroge with her in it and she does that kind of dual personality thing pretty well.

Takeuchi just does lineart for characters. Koyama is the main graphics guy, yes, but he also does all the backgrounds, weapons, items, etc. Basically anything that isn't a character is usually Koyama. It was that way all the way back in the FSN days too

Koyama's good at aping his art style. Well, they have a lot of similarities overall. You can see this pretty distinctly in old artwork where the two of them drew characters side by side and they blend together quite well. Of course, Koyama is far more talented.
At best you can say that Takeuchi might be drawing the face line art for the CGs but the rest is 100% Koyama. He has always does the heavy lifting for Takeuchi as his baby sitter.

I would say there are some good ones, and there are some bad ones. Better than expected, but not as good as it could have been. Ironically the promotional artwork is fucking terrible, though. Way worse than what's been shown in game, which I find funny.

Also I feel like Takeuchi completely botched the Melty sprites but in general the aesthetic for the game seems extremely rushed overall, and the animated shorts during battle especially look ghastly -- it's even worse than the sprites Takeuchi turned in. At least the classic Melty coloring is back, though; I always felt that it blended with Takeuchi's style the best by comparison to Koyama's heavy use of gradients.

Arcueid's hatred of Ciel was barely concealed. Tohno's life is threatened by both of them each time he tried to get them to stop trying to kill each other. Arcueid beats Ciel senseless and gloats about it too, Ciel is able to survive her battles only because she was unkillable at the time.
Defeat Roa and get Ciel's "Good" ending and Arc still endlessly tries to show her up, by being an obnoxious self-forced third wheel in her and Shiki's relationship. She absolutely, above and beyond anything else, hated Ciel and reveled in any opportunity to put her in her place.

I do get it, I just don't see it that far out of line. She was frequently frowning in battle rather than taking complete pleasure in it. One of the only times she made a big ear to ear "evil grin" was when Shiki got Roa'd, and preparing to kill him with this being a ruse because she still liked him, even after he dices her to bits for the second time.
The cold Arcueid frown also persisted even when Shiki took his glasses off and was preparing to fight her to stop a second confrontation between her and Ciel. However, Arcueid does have a big smile whenever she's acting impish and is trying to simply piss Ciel off, and given how violent her hatred is I guess like you said it'll come down to the nuances in how it's handled.
If there's anyone who has the best chance of being butchered into silly battle maniac with no nuance, it'd be Roa himself, actually. I was more of a Fatefag back then. Specifically I really wanted to love CCC because of Gil route. It was fulfilling in that it gave my husbando plenty of fanservice but good lord that script is uneven as fuck.
Mahoyo was very good overall but kinda feels a bit unsatisfying in a way. It's completely self contained to be sure, but it really feels like the sequels could have been even better. I never felt like it had the orgasmic character climaxes like you got in UBW or HF or the Far Side routes of the original Tsukihime. It really feels like the first route of a VN before you unlock the really good stuff, you know? I.e. it's perfectly good in its own right, but you're waiting for more. On the other hand part of what makes Mahoyo uniquely great amongst Nasu's visual novels is that it's pretty well paced by comparison to the others. That in combination with the length makes it a good rollercoaster.

That's one of the things that kinda has me worried about the purported TsukiR length. I really hope it isn't a bunch of bloat.
