Okay /jp/, /a/ regular here, it's my first time posting here. I'm headed off to university this month and I'm looking for something that'll keep me occupied while I'm there. I'd normally stock up on anime but I'm on capped bandwidth which is already going critical this month, so I thought I'd try a VN, as they last much longer per precious megabyte. I'm a complete newfag when it comes to VNs - the only one I've read is Umineko, and I haven't even finished that. I've seen F/SN getting a lot of attention but I haven't even seen the anime so I have no opinion of my own on it.

TL;DR if I were to download one VN for the rest of this year, which should it be?

Seriously speaking, I found Tsukihime a lot less impressive than all the hype made it out to be. The only thing I really liked were the endings, the rest of the VN seemed a tad bit slow. It may just be my incompatibility with Nasu-prose.

Since you come from /a/, I'd recommend you read Umineko, and see all the awesome you've missed out on thanks to stupid DEEN.
