Because I am against the principle of memberships. It is a cheap way by Youtube to collect money twice and by forcing content that shouldn't have been produced in the first place and creating needs that were inexistant before. Other social media are now imitating it like Twitter recently, so all you do is creating more paywalls for yourself in a long term.
