How do you solve a problem like Maria?

How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?

Smack it until it's not a problem anymore.

You can't. A cloud is essentially steam, which means it's gaseous and cannot be pierced by a pin, or even be held in your hands for that matter.

A large pin at sub zero temperatures would freeze the vapor into a solid block of ice, which would be pierced by said pin.

Yes. But then it wouldn't be a cloud anymore. It would be a block of ice.
So, you can catch a block of ice and pin it down, but you still can't catch a cloud an pin it down.

A block of ice made from a cloud, or perhaps a cloud of ice shards with a hell of a lot of pins.

Who said it was a cloud of water vapor?

"Cloud" just means puff of a lot of small particles. There's dust clouds, too. You just can't pin water (due to it being a liquid).

You solve people with violence and drugs. You catch a cloud with a plane and put it in a jar.

Thanks for reminding me to record my cover of this.

I'd like to see you pinning down the tiny itty bitty particles of dust with pins.
