What is the story line for UFO anyways? Maybe I just forgot, but isn't it just Reimu, Marisa, and Sanae look for treasure but doesn't find it, instead they find some history behind Gensokyo.

The plot is that geysers in SA let Murasa and company out, they try to revive Byakuren.

Basically, gods are the root cause of everything since MoF. No exceptions. Reimu should be hunting down gods if she wants disturbances to stop.

More than a thousand years ago, Byakuren was taught Buddhist magic by wher brother, who went on to die. This made Byakuren into one of those death-fearing weenies, so she bent her Buddhist strength magic a little and got eternal youth. This magic was dark and arcane, and wouldn't function if Youkai all died, and boy were they being hunted. So she went off to people who needed some youkai say she was an exorcising monk, but instead helped the youkai run away safely.

At first she was doing this because she wanted to live forever, but then over time the songs and smiles of youkai children made her heart grow three times it's size or something. She then went on to help youkai because youkai were swell. She got found Murasa and gave her a magic flying boat with interdimensional capabilities, and conviced Shou to work as a monk in her temple so that Vaisravana would pay attention to her. She wanted to make a super keen world where humans and youkai could live together.

However her brilliant plan of never aging and hoping nobody would notice fell through, and she was imprisoned behind a super seal in hell. A bunch of youkai who were loyal to her were thrown in a hole in a ground, which included Ichirin, Murasa, and Murasa's boat. Nue, who people found out was not a horrible monster and was instead jailbait, was thrown in with them. Shou didn't get thrown in because people are stupid and thought she was human.

Eventually Okuu in SA blew shit up and made a geyser, which freed everybody underground. They all went to Shou, who said she could probably free Byakuren with some revival silo pieces and the jeweled pagoda. However, Nue had been hanging around Murasa underground, and was pissed because she was loyal to Byakuren, who Nue thought was just some dick human. She found the silo pieces, and put here familiars in them, which made them move around and look like things to different people.

So Murasa came up with a super awesome plan. Nazrin would go find the silo pieces, Murasa would blast off to hell, and Shou would unseal Byakuren, who would refuel the magic boat. Ichirin was the one who told Nazrin to find the silo pieces or something, you can pretend that she is the one who made Byakuren change her ways because she dresses like a Buddhist nun or something, man she got boned in the interesting backstory department. However, Shou somehow lost the jeweled pagoda, and told Nazrin to find that too.

And then whoever you're playing as finds silo pieces, bashes their way onboard the ship, gets trapped and ends up in hell, unseals and kicks the shit out of Byakuren, and goes home for tea. They then find the fsource of the UFOs and go fuck up Nue, who is then told that Byakuren has a boner for youkai. Except for Sanae B, who has completely lost it at this point and thinks Nue is an alien, and wants to doll her up in a pretty dress and get their picture taken together for tengu tabloids.

Also Shinki is never coming back because Makai is now in another dimension instead of some backwater cave, there is nobody from Mystic square in the capitol city of Makai, and Byakuren uses one of her attacks.
