They weren't crazy, though. Hawaii wasn't an American state back then, and as it is not part of mainland America, it's lost would have been tolerable. The war against Japan was a war of choice, started by Roosevelt and his fellow interventionist, eager to show the world who was the boss. Japanese weaponry sucked BALLS in WWII and they made up for it by throwing wave after wave of soldiers with shit weapons at the Americans. They would actually send waves of people to clear the land mines and then send even more into American fire. The type 100, type 99, etc. all sucked but they almost were able to make up for it in courage. Zero's were really good until the U.S. upgraded it's planes. Needless to say, they could have been a force if they had proper weaponry, but they didn't. Their weaponry today is better, but still second to most major countries. Yes, I am a gun nut and study WWII plus modern weaponry.

That is a possibility. I have no doubt in my mind that Hitler would have taken all of Europe and attacked the U.S. with Japan as an ally eventually. But he would have betrayed the Japanese in the end. Japan vs. America in WWII era would always have America winning. If only they had used that element of surprise better to also take out the US aircraft carriers (that were out of PH), the oil field and the shipyard/maintenance in PH, it would've been the end of American control in the Pacific for at least a year, if not more --- that's how long it'll take to rebuild/deploy a new fleet. Hell, she might suffer heavier causality, but it'd be way less than the US. I mean, who wouldn't be willing to sacrifice, let's say one-fourth of your force, just to make sure your enemy/threat against you is completely wiped out? Without the American Pacific fleet, Japan would've taken over majority of Asia (definitely Dutch East Indies/Philippines for oil) with little trouble due to her naval domination.

Assuming the Germans doesn't lose that fast/Americans don't develop nuke, Japan, with her newly conquered territories, should have a good chance against the US (who is drained on a two front war), and can force it into a truce/end of WWII.
