But that wouldn't have created the paradox to free Archer from his special hell. He knew the chance was almost nill, but it was enough to get him to kill himself before he became a hero so he'd create a paradox large enough that the World would try to right it. It's also the reason why he saved Shirou from Caster. If Caster killed him, he wouldn't have gotten his paradox.

Once Shirou abandons his ideal in Heaven's Feel, Archer's like, well, fuck it, he gave up his ideals so now there's no chance to become like him. If he killed Shirou now, he'd just be killing an innocent boy and he'd get no paradox because Shirou was already on a different path and he realized that.

Actually, no, he's not done growing. I had a friend who had a four inch growth spurt out of high school when he was nineteen. My father grew another two inches when he was eighteen. It's very plausible for Shirou to have to have a growth spurt after high school, before he turns 25.

When one turns 25 is when they actually stop growing and their cartilage seals. So, yes, Shirou could easily have a growth spurt that makes him Archer size.

And yes, Archer is huge. He's the tallest Servant after Berserker.
