Okay, so after hearing all the incessant Touhou hype, I downloaded a torrent of most of the games. Played PCB and EoSD, and thought they were pretty fun shooters.

But I still don't get all the other stuff, like the douijins, fan-fic, and the giant image collections. The story itself seemed kind of incoherent, and just a vehicle for SHOOTAN.

TL;DR: Why do YOU like Touhou so much? What brought you into it?
