That's an ancient problem. Those old games have CDDA audio which looped in older versions of windows but it was removed in windows vista I believe. _inmm.dll is the classic solution to this, but since Tsukihime (I'm assuming this is the game you are talking about here) uses Nscripter, you could also just run it with onscripter. It also has functionality to read BGM tracks from a separate folder and not rely on cdda audio.

Tsukuri Monoji's absence from the Tsukihime credits all but confirms he's left the company. He was previously the most notable TM staff member to not contribute a staff message to the FSN 15th anniversary site.

So he was never intended to work on Tsukihime remake, and if he left the company it was because Nasu never actually wrote Mahoyo 2. Koyama made statements on twitter as recently as 2 years ago implying the project is on hold because Nasu is busy. Seems he quit because the only VN project they had going never involved him at all, leaving him to do nothing.

I'm re-reading HF and I notice every once in awhile during when characters speak that the voiced dialogue is different from the in-game script. the words shinji speaks here are "boku wa omae no yasashi ani nanda"
It's only very rarely that that the lines are so radically different like this and i'm wondering if this is a case of realta-nua's script differing from the vanilla release's script tl which is what i'm reading or if this is the case of really liberal tl-ing.
It makes me a little worried that other parts of the tl are like this too and I won't catch it because it's not voiced. Guess I'll grind more anki

The "ultimate patch" from beast's lair has indeed most of the text from the original added back while keeping the RN graphics, for what's commonly thought to be the best experience. HF in particular has a lot of changes, if you're using the hd version of the patch you can also toggle between mixed, pure-original and pure-RN text and check the differences

It seems mostly accurate and I can only compare the voiced dialogue since I'm not reading it side-by-side with the original text but the liberalness of the TLing gets on my nerves sometimes. A lot of the nuance is lost and imo sometimes the tl mischaracterizes people but I guess I can't ask for 100% accuracy of every line for a fan tl of a script longer than the bible. Also, they can still cast the old Tsuki seiyuu for other characters in the future anyway. Pretty much all of Tsukihime anime cast have been doing various roles in TM (Bazett, Mikiya/Romani, Rin, Luvia, Merlin/Arthur,..). Shiki's seiyuu from MB also voiced Marisbury not long ago.

DW spend 3 billion yen (as in, reinvested their would-be profits) on a new mobile phone game (Sakura Kakumei) and made just 73 million yen back in its launch year. DW is being hard-carried by FGO money.
You can look at it from two angles.
FGO money allows not just Delightworks but also Type-Moon to do other projects. Examples of said projects include fully voicing Tsuki remake at launch (a first for a TM VN) and creating a new video game studio, Studio BB, which is currently working on Fate/Extra Record and other unannounced titles. Non-FGO projects with these profits are guaranteed because Nasu is tired of FGO, according to his latest interviews.

Fate would've been okay if it stayed small. Nasu is really good with that very precise urban fantasy genre, so when Fate went big and he started going for larger and wilder settings, the quality definitely dropped off.

I wanna read the original VN but I don't know how much did I get cucked out of the first time experience. Don't remember about Arc's death, but the Moon agreed to help Gaia by acting as a protector, since as you said, Earth doesn't have it's own type(I believe the closest it ever got was Excalibur). Gaia copied Crimson Moon's form, and created the True Ancestors. CM gets killed by the Second Magician, but since a TYPE can't actually die, he is just waiting for a body strong enough to contain him, not unlike the current Fate/GO lostbelt plot. Arcueid is the closest to being his reincarnation, her sister Altrouge is tied for strongest True Ancestor. She's apparently strong enough to keep Primate Murder(aka Beast 4) under her heel, despite being a True Ancestor-Dead Apostle hybrid. So the Moon is currently dead, but not quite totally, and is waiting to fulfill it's last order from Gaia, which is to kill all of humanity after it dies.
