It's not like I don't know it at all.
but some kana are just too look alike to tell them apart and some of them won't just stay in my mind. It's a long way till I can learn Kanji.... and my vocabulary sucks but since most of the words are written in japanese and not romaji I can't read them. Google translator is a bad thing to use so I try to avoid it.

I got the Kana and around 500 Kanji down before I got lazy and stopped learning.

I had been using Heisig, but that was all so I didn't know any of the readings and most of the definitions.

If I ever decide to pick it up again I won't be doing it the same way, or at least not with Heisig alone.

It really felt like I wasn't learning as much as I could have been.
