That is because they have no idea what they want. So people end up saying the same VNs over and over. From there they play and choose what suits them. Well, good is a really subjective thing to be honest, but there was at least 20 VN I personally enjoyed (ergo I voted it at least an 8/10 ), and it doesn't have an anime adaptation I've heard of. These are all from my own VN list, and I've been playing with VNs for 6+ years by now. (Of course I might unconsciously using my nostalgia googles for the oldie games)
1 Ever17 -the out of infinity- ; 2 Eve: Burst Error; 3 Saya no Uta; 4 True Love; 5 Desire; 6 Nocturnal Illusion; 7 Critical Point; 8 Kira☆Kira; 9 Giniro; 10 Snatcher; 11 Edelweiss; 12 Sengoku Rance; 13 Adam: The Double Factor; 14 Heart de Roommate; 15 Castle Fantasia ~Seima Taisen~; 16 Yume Miru Kusuri; 17 Divi-Dead; 18 Wanko to Kurasou; 19 Planetarian ~Chiisana Hoshi no Yume~; 20 Narcissu

I'm gonna go completely off topic here and ask for a recommendation though it seems it's looked down upon..

Originally I used to like the .hack series until it got unbearably gay with .hack//link. Then I was in search of something sci/fi ish to fill the gap and found 2 candidates, とある魔術の禁書目録 and Baldr Sky. I ended up picking Baldr Sky as my new fandom, and I was wondering if there were any good VN's that are similar to Baldr Sky where it's based on computer/hacking where interfacing with a computer means you go into a 仮想空間.

I really like series that deals with 仮想空間 on earth. Yureka, .hack, and Baldr Sky are the only series so far that deal with it that I know of, if /jp/ knows of any other semi decent series or VN's that deal with that, please tell me?

Hey, can someone get OP for me and put a red cross over all the titles which are non-ero?

Thanks.

>> No.3073204

I don't really see the point in this. You can just use vndb to find something you like.

How about you go to VNDB, search the title and check to see if it has a 'sexual content' tag. If it's too much work, then give up entirely. There are tons of other things out there.

I heard they weren't as good as Baldr Sky, plus some of them are based too far into the future... I like it closer to present year. I don't know why I have this weird preference but yes.

Anyways, I should check them out. Shouldn't always base it on what I hear...

Thanks for your suggestion.

Is Baldr sky dive 1 a sequel to baldr force..?

If you want to miss out on some really good stuff, yeah, I'm sure someone could cross those out.

Good example of an acceptable recommendation thread.

Check atleast Baldr force as it's similar to sky, and about the tech level, I'm pretty sure that Sky happens after force, I think there was extremely small reference somewhere in sky to force too. So Forces tech level is actualy bit lower than Skys. As for baldr bullet, I haven't played that, but I heard that it happens in "real world" rather than in virtual. So it might not fit.

This. Check Force EXE too. It's by the same scenario writer and very good too. Though i prefer Sky.

Thanks, sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. I'll definitely check force/force exe out.

This is indeed the kind of question that is acceptable. He' looking for something so specific that there's no tag for it in vndb.org. So it's difficult for him to find an answer to the question without asking

Asking for sauce of a picture is also OK. Stuff like that maybe difficult to find out otherwise. Just do it in the same thread where the picture was posted instead of making a new thread for it. And you're supposed to get into VNs (or I got into them this way at least) by playing VNs that have anime adaptions you like and playing anything popular and highly rated in vndb.org. And don't give me shit about newfags not knowing about vndb, it's like 4th result when you type "visual novel" into google.

There are a few things on there that I didn't really like, but the fact that there is someone else on /jp/ who has read H20 ~Footprints in the Sand~ pleases me. Also, saved.

Replace "Hana to Otome ni Shufuku wo" with "Rui wa Tomo wo Yobu" unless you just want a girls' school trap game in which case you should replace it with "Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru"

The chart has too many generic harem eroge no one recognises.

Also, switch Chaos;Head with Noah.

Saihate no Ima fucking where?

And I haven't played H2O, but if it's as fucking god-awful as the anime adaptation was, then this list fails.

It's probably faster to mark the non-ero onces.

Why did you choose such an awful picture for Swan Song? Use this or something else.

It should look something like this.
I'm not too sure about some titles though.
But man, there are enough VNs with just a single H-scene per route, might as well just skip those with ctrl or something.
