Hot tips and Troubleshooting:
If you're using the 4chan External Sounds script, and things are TOO loud when you click images, but you DON'T want to adjust your browser volume, edit the script, Ctrl+f "player.volume" and lower that from 0.80 (80% of browser volume) to 0.50 or something.

If you're using the 4chan Sounds Player (the playlist one), it can read multiple sounds in a single filename. Just add as many [sound=url] to the filename as you want. You can add a name before each one, just before the first, or none at all.
The inline player will fall back to playing the last one so keep that in mind.

I can't hear sounds?

Just realizing that catbox deletes files that aren't being accesed every 200 days, it's pretty bad and there's a bunch of old catbox stuff i'm having to redo now but make sure you stop using catbox, or to make sure it doesn't get deleted access the link even if just by listening so it 'renews'

we can't stop using catbox because every sound thread we have people complaining that none of the addon's allowed upload sites work besides catbox, their ISP blocked the other ones. this has been going on since May on all boards that have regular (ish) sound threads.

Catbox is the most reliable for making sure people can actually hear the things.
It's a shame they get deleted aftter 200 days, though.

To counter that, I just threw every soundimage I've ever saved into the playlist, and I'm going through them all (clicking next, making sure it actually loads in, once I hear some audio, I que on the next one).
I'm about a 1/4 through everything I saved. Hopefully this helps save some soundposts other anons have made.

I'm assuming if you do this once ever six months with your sound collection, most everyone's soundposts will never expire.

I've just finished going through all soundfiles on my computer that were upload to catbox.
Every single one still worked. Some took upwards of a minute to load in and work, or I had to "refresh" by going to a different file and back to it, but in the end, they all worked. Even ones from when sound threads "came back" in April.
