By not making sense in this case means that there's can't be any fighting at all, battler doesn't fight physically, he does with reasoning, The witches fight with magic that can't be put into a fighting game. And the only ones that fight are just a few, there's no way you can make this into a fighting game.

I didn't. It doesn't matter if they can't fight, you can just give them an arbitrary move set and some specials that are relevant to the character. It really doesn't matter whether they can actually fight or not.

An Umineko Daybreak is likely in the works when the main game finishes.

I think an Umineko RTS or Turn-Based-Strategy game would work better.

Some random units would be designated as the killer, and the players must work together to figure out who's the true killer. While the Killer have numerous magical creature to do the dirty work unless the players are within certain distance of the real killer and other mechanical quirks.

It would be somewhat like that Dark Deeds custom warcraft 3 game.
